SPE can solve almost any below temp problem
and you can make one using walmart elcheapo fabric and even glue it versus sewing. Once sewn you put into it various thicknesses of ccf=like the blue pad sold at walmart.
Foam is cheap and lightweight, just doesn't pack down so small.

On top to increase the range of my quilt I wear my camp clothes and layering up with them can get you lower too.
Then there's the hammock sock. We've been playing with fancy socks lately but reality is that a simple bedroom sheet (maybe 1.5 of them) can make a sock that will hold a lot of heat in, block the wind, and breath.
Just some thoughts from another hammock noobie (though I've been at it for 12 years now :)
