how tight to pitch HH?

I am wondering how tight everybody pitches their Hennessy Hammocks. I am having a few issues getting comfortable and staying asleep (the fabric forms hard ridges under my legs...and they sort of fall asleep after a while). I have been tightening it quite tight from the get go, I will try a few different tensions and see if it makes a difference. Just thought I would see what works out best for everybody else.

PS. I am mostly a side sleeper, if that effects how tight you would set up.

Myself and most others with a Hennessy usually have the ridgeline pulled about as tight as it will go. Works for me.

Get it as tight as you can. A HH has a structural ridge line the makes the hammock lay the same every time. If you are uncomfortable you may need a larger hammock.

String it tight... works for me.

Place a jacket or something under your knees to elevate them. See if that helps.

Another thing to check; is the hammock level or are the feet slightly elevated? If you hang the hammock so your feet are slightly uphill, the sleep in the legs will flow downhill to your head and out you go.

your position in the hammock has alot to do with those ridges being right under your knees. i find that in my hammock, i feel the same thing, but if i pull myself 6"-12" farther towards the head end, it almost dissapears. but your best bet is to put several inches of something (filled stuffsac or a down jacket) under your knees. this feels heavenly. problem solved.

the u shaped neck pillow is another great sleeping accessory.

I've been thinking about a U shaped pillow. The pillow is one area i'm still not happy about. May have to get me one.

for some reason I couldn't get the U shaped pillows to stay where I liked them. Currently I'm using a homemade foam pillow
I just got some foam and used an electric knife to shape it. I just need a little neck support so the bump is made to support the neck and the rest has my head on it to hold it in place.
I had to build it up bigger than in the photo to make it support better.
It's light also, but I'd don't know the actual weight.

I like it tight not loose
