Thinking about climbing Moosilauke 11/3 or 11/4 and camping on Saturday nearby or close to the trailhead.
I have never hiked this mountain so I don't know the area camping but if anyone is interested to go then give me a shout.

we've backpacked it before.. there is a camping area/ shelter you can stay at with good trees nearby to hang. bring layers.. it's always cold and windy on the top. should be nice.
you park at the lodge and the hike is not that difficult.
enjoy!
there is a camp on the lower south side. don't remember a camp going up the north side.
Thanks. So if I park somewhere near the carriage road or near the Darthmouth Lodge and head towards the Gorge Brook trail I might find a camping area nearby?
I have been checking the maps today and I suppose if I get the.green light I could start up the carriage road towards the summit and then continue towards Mt. Blue and Mt Jim. At some point between those next two peaks or after I would find a place to hang. The next day continue on Asquam trail back to eventually rejoin the.carriage road and the parking lot.
ill pull out my trail maps tomorrow. doing AT right?
I think you can try the Presidental Range Traverse in the white mountains of New Hampshire. I'm not sure if your acquainted but the presidental range is a sequence of the biggest hills on the eastern coast.
The Supreme Commander came home and announced she has a day off this Saturday. It means I will be moving the date of this trip to a next available date. :-)
Ok. Here I go again. Take 2. Shooting for the upcoming Saturday 11/10.
