Spring Hot Springs Hang 2013- Planning

I'd like to get the ball rolling on this group hang. I'm not sure who normally puts this one together, but my family would like to come and most of us need to put in notice a month or two in advance.

Does anyone have recommendations for a weekend? April 5-7 would be great for me, but I want to know. I'd even be cool with Easter weekend, but not everyone is. I'd even give the sermon. ;)

I've heard that traditionally the Spring Hot Springs Hang is around Mother's Day, but earlier would be better I think.

Past organizers (Hangin Burrito / Running Feather / Ed...), did I miss something? Thoughts?

I'm looking forward to seeing my hanging buddies again and even my wife and mother may make an appearance (but stay in a cabin).

I wouldnt mind another visit to Hot Springs!

Where is this location? Depending on the location and timing, I might be up for it. I know there are a number of hangs scheduled for late March and early April, so I'll have to see which ones fit into my schedule.

There is a group campground in Hot Springs that we get a few sites at. The proximity to the AT is nice too.

Hot Springs, North Carolina.

Ed Speer originally organized this hang as the SEHHA Campout , Spring & Fall. But as of now no one does officially to my knowledge. Different folks have stepped in to keep the tradition going like Shreck, Hanging Burrito and Running Feather and others.

Take note that Trail Days is the weekend after Mothers Day and a LOT of us will be there then head to the RatGat in Linville Gorge or to Goat Island in Ga.
In 2009 Hot Springs was in June but 2010 it was done in April.

I'd love to do this again. April is pretty full--Burrell's Ford in SC and Smoked Butt in NC.

Enjoyed the last hang there, look forward to another.

I spoke with my family. The weekend of the 5-7 isn't as free as I thought. Maybe the next weekend or the like.

I'd lock in the dates soon so people can plan. The only other hang scheduled right now for April 12-14 is the Northern Cal Hang, so i don't think you'll be competing over attendees. :D

Hmm...it appears that there is not much interest in the Spring Hot Springs Hang, or at least not the dates I recommended. Late May is bad for me, but what about the beginning of May?

What do others think?
