Whoopie slings vs. Cinch buckle setup
Hi all,
I've been hammocking for a about a month now, and still researching to feed the addiction. I currently use whoopies with toggles and tree straps. I've recently started looking into using cinch buckles and straps and toss the slings. I find that the whoopies are just an extra step for me. I don't mind the extra weight of carrying the straps and think I may swap for the cinch setup.
I'd love to hear your input on this, pros vs. cons, etc.
Hello, my name is Jim and I am fickle.
Apparently I am rudderless, because I seem to go which ever way the wind blows. Converted a HH to straps and chinch buckles. Converted a CJH to straps & cinch buckles. Bought a WBBB with straps and cinch buckles. Saw Dutch's Buckles and fell in love. Switched the CJH to whoopies. And I have a spare set of Dutch Buckles awaiting....deployment.
Sad thing is that I will probably never actually settle on one system. I also like taking new routes when driving to a destination.
Fickle Jim
