So...I have this extra rip-stop...
Okay, so I was sitting around one night, and on a whim, I bought two lengths of rip-stop nylon. Turns out, it's too light and slippery for what I was looking for. Of course, if I'd remembered this forum, and checked here first, I would have known what I was looking for was crushed taffeta. Live and learn.
Now, I have an orange piece that 5.5 yds, and 51" wide, of 1.1oz . And a bronzish-tan piece that's 5 yds and 52" wide, and its either 1.2oz - 1.3oz. They're both uncoated. Any ideas what I should do with them? Anybody interested in them for cheap? (Like 15 bucks shipped each?)
I'm entertaining the idea of building my own traction kite...

Rain skirt! Like many of the venders here sell. Bishop bags, or a bag that goes on the srl of your hammock like mountain goat has on her website. Big storage bags for your quilts so they stay clean and mostly lofted. These are the things I'd make with it, that is if I had the material and the sewing skills:)

Never mind on the rain skirt, I forgot it was uncoated.....
