There hasn't been any mention on here yet of the new longer, shallower sidecar alternative that Dutch just released? He even released it on my birthday, so I have money to indulge in it (except I just spent it all on two peak shelves and a Hangtime Hook:lol:) It looks awesome, very similar to the WBRR Saddlebags. We haven't announced this one just yet. We just quietly put it on the site. It really is a nice addition to the line up though.
These do look like the saddle bags on Warbonnet products. These are nice.

You can set up the sidecar to do the same thing. Take a couple of mitten hooks and attach them to the d-rings on the inside of the sidecar and them clip them to the d-rings on the side of the hammock. Makes something akin to a saddlebag on a Ridgerunner. Also, this setup provides more versatility in that you can unclip and extend the sidecar when you want to store something bulky, like a top quilt.

Yes. You can also put it on the same side as your side car. You can even have cheeseburgers printed on it.

I didn't realize I needed saddlebags until I got my RidgeRunner. They are awesome for gear management. This sounds like the same thing for non-RidgeRunners so you may not realize how much you need these until you get them.Quote:

Maybe the extra weight in the bag helps keep it off to the side but it felt like the thing was in my face all night. Kind of like laying in a too wide hammock.
I’ll have to revisit. Take more time to dial in the hang but it felt like extra fabric that was a distraction to what I’m used to sleeping in. Serves the purpose of interior storage for larger items but I’d pick a shelf and RL organizer if I was going out for a few days.
🤷🏻*♂️still think it’s pretty it’s pretty neat-o.

I think I like the look of that.... I'm finding the regular side car really great for holding a quilt and pillow but it's hard to dig out smaller items like socks once they fall down to the bottom. This might be a good solution for the smaller stuff

I just ordered my Sidecar in the Print2Fabric Coffee Bean pattern to contrast nicely with my brick red Chameleon. Maybe it will arrive in time for a final canoe trip this fall to the BWCAW!
