any coupons right now?
maybe I missed some posts.
What do people use these for
and which ones?
These make great hammocks. Just whip the ends and throw some suspension on them. For $12 you can have a great hammock. The edges are already sewn and the material is very nice.
Here's a link to the 60x126.

Great! I just ordered 2.
Is a table cloth strong enough for 250 pounds? what is this crinkle taffeta equivalent to in weight, 1.7 1.9 etc?
Ye Gods. Another addiction. Been thinking of making a DIY hammock for a winter project. This sent me over the edge. Ordered a couple to try my hand. Reckon my friends will like it since I will prob give em away.
FWIW...tableclothfactory continually rotates on a weekly basis between free shipping and 10% off (lately it has been 15%). Watch closely because the two overlap on occasion.
I think I read somewhere that the fabric is around the strength of 2.7, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty confident that 250 would be no problem at all.
hey thanks!
I got both 10% off plus free shipping! :boggle:
This will be my cheapest hammock yet, $11.69.
Poop. I had it in my cart and got distracted when my son wanted to watch snake attack videos on Youtube. :(
ETA: w00t! Still got free shipping!
Thank you for placing your order. Your order number is 399436.
Sweeeeet, thanks for the heads up. Gonna make a diy DL monster.
I got both free shipping and the 10% discount as well. Just gotta select free shipping and the 10% is auto.
If you havnt tried it yet, this stuff makes a great hammock! Its very inexpensive, and has a nice , sturdy feel to it-doesnt give much at all. Great for both gathered end and bridge hammocks. Who ever came up with the idea of using table cloths for hammocks was a genious! :)
FYI sale is over as of Nov 12. Just as I was about to order 6 items for the whole family. :(
not to rub it in, but i ordered one for my dad for a jesusmas hammock and i am impressed with the stuff, if you look at similar material in a store its easily twice as much and not as wide!

I still went ahead and made the order. Still a good price and my Christmas shopping is done. Well, I still gotta get matching amsteel.
Free shipping is over, but 10% sale is still on through midnight tonight (11/13). I think I'll wait for the free shipping and discount to overlap, again. It will be a long winter. I'm patient. Ha.

Good time to get Christmas gifts.
My entire family will be at my house for a few days around Christmas so I ordered tablecloths for all my nephews and niece. I figure it will be a fun project to do one day while they are here and it's part of their Christmas presents...win/win
Is there a difference in fabric strength/durability between the Polyester versus the Crinkle Taffeta 60x126 retangular tablecloths?
I'll certainly check with the manufacturer (and will share what i learn), but thought perhaps someone on the forum may already have first-hand hammock familiarity in the case.
DIY hammocks would be a great project for my entire scout troop, but of course we're on a budget and would like to save a few bucks if we can (at least $135 in this case, for the 30+ we'd need to purchase).
Any insights or experiences you could kindly provide would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks very much for your time and consideration.
Happy new year!
I've made hammocks from both their crinkle taffeta and polyester. The taffeta is lighter duty and better suited for making camping hammocks. My indoor hammock is made from their polyester. Very sturdy and comfortable. I don't have to baby it at all. Read about it here: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...t.php?p=787639
