Hello to everyone! I am new to the hammock scene and just recently ordered my first one to see if it's for me. Seems like it may be a little difficult to adjust to, having to tie varioius knots ect... But overall I think it will be a good transition. Just wanted to say hello and hope I can contribute to the forum in the future!

Don't worry about the knots (although a good knowledge of them is a big plus in the outdoor world). Thanks to a member named Dutch (who has a titanium fetish) knots have been all but eliminated from hammocks.
It seems like there are a lot of different ways to set up the hammock so I'm going to start out with the componets that come with the hammock I ordered and modify/upgrade from that point. Hopefully it's not as hard as it seems! Thanks again.

Thanks for all the replies. Warmth doesnt concern me much as I LOVE colder weather. I have been reading different posts about uq and tq but I'm not sure i'll even bother with those this year. I'm hoping to make it to an outing next month to give this a try. I'm really hoping I will like it so I can ditch my tents.
