I learned a few things on this trip. First use of my whoopie sling and trekking pole suspension system worked really well. Until I needed my poles for an evening hike...

Excellent trip report! Listening to the rain on the tin roof in your attached video, I'm thinking I would never wake up! Good sleeping noise.
Excellent write up. Thanks!
What an awesome trip report!
I'm going to do this for sure.

It can be confusing if you've never been. A lot of stuff isn't marked, but most of the major stuff is easy enough to get to. Don't just download the paper map, buy the Kornegey map at Headwater Outfitters on the main highway before you go up. On my october trip there was an older couple at the east parking lot that was lost on a day hike. They had no map and were a good 6 miles from the other parking area. I don't know how they made it back before dark.
I added this to my "trip idea" folder. It looked like a wonderful place, maybe a little wet but kudos to you for just doing it. It is all too easy to just not go when the weather gets bad out.
