Nice, Shug! Thanks for compiling it on the road!
Great Job Shug! I am just about done with mine as well. I love looking at these videos right after the actual event. It takes me back to the place I did not want to leave in the first place. :D
The Cascades falls area was so beautiful (along with many, many other parts of the State Park). Crossing that tree bridge was rather precarious indeed, I knew if I did it you would not be far behind...LOL. It was much harder coming back across!
Due to a mix up at home with packing, I left my top insulation behind. Thanks again for loaning me the JRB quilt (hudson river I think) the last couple of nights. I was never even slightly cold. Also, thanks to Fin for loaning me his JRB quilt (Mt Washington I think but could be wrong) the first night. Also thanks to Fin for loaning me his Blackbird for the duration of the trip.
Yep, that little stick was all I needed for my almost 200lbs. I am sure someone will chime in about toggle forces but it really does not take much of a stick to do the job. I could have gotten by with an even smaller one, but that was the first one I found. I am a whoopie sling/marlin spike/toggle man all the way now. I honestly can not see any reason to go to another suspension at this point. But, as always, Hang Your Own Hang...;)
Thanks for posting that great video Shug! I'm really looking forward to part deux. So many good memories. I'm already looking forward to my next trip even though I don't yet know when that will be.
Good luck on the road!
Thanks for the video Shug...Friday looked like a wonderful hiking day! Hope you have a safe trip down south :D
Another great video Shug. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video! :D Indeed it was a glorious time that produced some great memories.
Excellent - thanks for that, shug. I really needed that today. Can't wait to see the parts of the trail that I missed.
