I'm getting ready to order some that's advertised as "mil-spec". Truth to tell, I've got no idea what that translates to, in terms of quality or characteristics.

I found some marine grade shock cord on Ebay that has very nice characteristics.
Also .... practice setting up in the cold with your current rig, wearing what you will be wearing and moving quickly and confidently.
Know your system.
Excellent advice Shug.
thanks for all the advice everyone. So many good ideas here is what i decided:
One figure 9
one line lock
one whoopie sling
one ucr
one thereband self tensioning line
one shock cord self tensioning line
for the 6 ties outs.......
Actually I made 6 UCR's from the dynaglide group buy each 5-9 feet or so, and plan to add some shock cord or theraband to these tie outs.
I bought the figure 9's for the ridgleline tie outs although I think I am going to make one more large UCR from the dynaglide 30 feet or so which I plan to attach with the slightly larger carabiner 9's
thanks everyone!
