Something that would be cool would be to sew a triangle on the ends of one of these hex tarps like we were discussing on the Sportsmans guide tarps (except taking it off). Then you could have a 12'X12' tarp with only one stake per side :)

I finally decided to go with a hammock for some situations and decided to order a bit backward. I placed an order for a MacCat Deluxe yesterday (no response yet). When that is secure and enroute to me I'll order a HH Explorer Ultralite A-Sym. I've never had the opportunity to try out any of the major hammock brands but I decided as primarily a side sleeper that HH was the way to go. Hoping that the larger Deluxe was the way to go for size, too. A lot of hopeing that this all works out.
Why did I finally pull the trigger? On my recent thru hike of the Long Trail I was frustrated by the lack of locations to pitch my Contrail and wished that I'd had a hammock so that I could have stopped whenever I wished.
Thanks for posting that angrysparrow. It's nice to know there are other colors. I wish there was when I ordered mine two years ago.
Btw, for those interested here is what the hh hex corner pockets look like
