I will flip in my 2 cents worth. In any business venture, big or small, mansion or cottage, a business plan is essential to seeing the over-all picture.
And, as I see here, listening to costumers and talking to them.
Carry on ..... Sew Strong!

Commercial:
Start up company selling their wares on the web for the first time. Everyone gathered around a computer set up to show web sales in real-time. Web store turned on. Cheers and high fives all around as the first orders begin coming in. Cheers turn to extreme concern and even fear as the count of the product orders spirals rapidly into the millions...
I don't remember what company the commercial was for, but it was designed to illustrate the point that you should have a plan for your business being successful beyond your wildest expectations...
In your case, you are beginning to regulate the number of orders that can be worked on at any particular time, and making sure expectations of service remain realistic.
I hope you continue to enjoy the work, and that your sewing business thrives. I hope you will come back from vacation refreshed and renewed.

I just want to say thanks to Preacher's Wife and Preacha. I received my tarp, earlier this week. Upon a quick 1st inspection I can say that the craftmanship is excellent, beyond my expectations considering the stress they were under to get things done.
I hope you consider continuing your sewing, albeit in a less stressful capacity.

Is there a link or website to where i can see their products and prices? I'm interested in some stuff.
-
We did have a website, but we are away right now so we have stopped taking orders. I took the Website down until Amanda decides what she want to do. We still will not be home for another full week, but then I think we will make tarps, then post them for sale after they are completed. That way the stress is off of Amanda, and she can sew when she has time.

Field test of the UQ
I used the uq for the first time in sub 0C (23F).
Read about setup here.
With a small adjustment on the suspension system,
it worked excellent on the Blackbird.
Looking forward to see how low (temp) i can go with this UQ.
Thanks for a great Uq.

Thanks Moski,
Amanda is so happy that it is working well for you, she just wishes that she could be in Sweden right now too. I am still trying to get her to make me one, only I want a full length one :)

Dwight, are the UQ that Amanda creates down or synthetic?
Notice on your gallery that you made couple top quilts using Climashield. One of the planned projects is a summer weight, wet environment top quilt using Climashield or PrimaLoft wrapped in Momentum. Will be using a lighter wt 2.5oz Climashield or PrimaLoft (if I can find prequilted). Wondering how compact your 3.7oz Climashield quilt packs down to?

either or. If down she uses Speer's 900+fp, and if synthetic she uses Climashield XP. All of her orders are on a case by case basis though she does not get overwhelmed.
As far as compacting down, it all depends on how big the quilt is made. Over all it would campact nicely, not as small as down, but still small.
