Lake Greenwood:
Crappie: Very good. Sportsman's Friend reports that crappie have backed off the banks but fishing is still very strong. The majority of the fish are being caught in 6-10 feet of water around brush, using both minnows and jigs.
Largemouth Bass: Good. Sportsman's Friend reports that bass are in all three stages of the spawn on Lake Greenwood, and although a lot of fish have already bedded there are many currently spawning or still to spawn. Floating worms fished early and late around trash (wood, shallow brush, etc.), off points and in the backs of coves are catching fish.
Catfish: Good. Captain Chris Simpson reports that the drift bite is strong for channel cats in the upper half of the lake. 5-18 feet is the best depth, with some fish being caught as shallow as 2 feet. Cut shad and herring are working the best.
Bream: Good. Sportsman's Friend reports that even though they aren't bedding yet both bluegill and shellcrackers are really starting to move around and feed well. Fish crickets and worms around docks, shallow cover and in the backs of coves.
