I had to do some checking because I thought the Claytor and the DD Hammock were the same length, with the DD Hammock being a bit wider, so here's the facts:
Claytor Jungle:
Length: 300cm (9.84 ft)
Width: 125cm (4.01 ft)
DD Hammock:
Length: 2.7m (8.84 ft)
Width: 1.4m (4.59 ft)
So yes the Claytor is 1 foot longer than the DD but DD is still an almost 9 foot long hammock. That's bigger than I am used to but shorter than you normally use neo. The DD is about 6" wider than the Claytor. That says you can probably hang the hammock with a little more sag than you do with a Claytor and go more diagonal in the hammock.
I plan on doing a day hike Thursday so hopefully I will get a chance to play with the hammock.
Sorry to hear the hammock is so short - maybe your younger boy can use it?
:mad:the hammock is already falling apart, some of the loop were barely hanging on when i got it out of the bag, most of the other one have came off
after i strung it up by the elastic cord that came with it.yep the hammock is not only to short it is falling apart plus the mosquitto netting coming unraveled to.:cool:neo
