Interesting logic . It probably does not apply to supermodels.

I agree they make great hammocks but they are not for everyone! You may want to try a larger hammock like butt in a sling or a DD they are larger and have multiple options for multiple sweet spots also Warbonnet hammocks are very comfy! That's why there are so manny different hammock choices for the different people that go in them!
i had the same problem with the same hammock i found confort in not tying out the sides and put my legs one on each side of the velcro.tie your hammock real loose with the foot end higher then slide toward the head area as much as possible.good luck, you didnt get stiffed on the hammock you will find it comfy with practice.
i used a Explorer UL for 2 months straight, twice. i have found that a HH hammock you need to make sure that ridge line is tight and foot higher. still my favorite hammock.

I've had the same issue with the ridge down the middle and it definitely has to do with hanging tension/angle or perhaps with the distance between the trees. It happened to me when I was hanging between two trees that were pretty close together, but didn't happen on a previous hang with trees farther apart.
I am still a fairly new hammock camper, but I have spent several nights in my HH and found it to be very comfortable. My question is that there was conflicting advice in two consecutive posts on this thread--first to keep the ridgeline loose, than the very next post said to make sure the ridgeline is tight. I know that personal preference plays a part in this, and that comfort is subjective, and above all that I should just try it both ways, tighter and looser and see for myself. Trial and error. Still, I would like to understand the reasoning behind both approaches, how and why a tighter or looser ridgeline changes things.
Thanks
I have a Hennessey UL but I do not have whoopies fitted to it.
when i pitch up the Hammock I keep the ridgeline taught and have not had an issue with a ridge under my knees, i've certainly not noticed it!
I always use the same method and pitch the foot end slightly higher than the head end otherwise I find myself in a heap an the foot end.
My Explorer deluxe is my most comfortable hammock. But my Blackbird is close, and has better suspension, and the gear loft, so I usually bring that. I also like the Hennessy fabric the best, and like that both tie outs out on the HH are independent of the netting.
Each brand has something to offer, but if a full size Hennessy is not comfortable, it's likely a set up issue.
