I got mine on Tuesday. The shipping was super fast. The quality seems pretty good and it is triple stitched. The hang was not bad, especially for the price. Definitely worth being a good first hammock for somebody.

Mine came in today and it's not a bad ham. It reminds me a lot of the Grand trunk and ENO hammocks and will make a nice yard hammock...
I converted mine today:
Made 2 10 inch Amsteel loops - thanks to Spaceweaseal'.
Then, because I was impatient waiting for some Dutch hooks, I made some nacrobiners (out of amsteel - there is a sticky under suspension for them)
and some Whoopies.
oh - and I put in 2 wall anchors after finally finding some studs after 5 small pilot holes in this new apt. LOL!
Quite pleased with myself, if I might say as much :D
I weigh about 230ish currently, 5'11" tall.
I plan to use a continuous ridge line with amsteel 12 to toggles or carabiners on 1" straps.
I want to use wrapped descender rings to set the lengths from the biners.
My question is, once I get the amsteel, should I make short loops and larks head them to the hammock itself where the rope is to the descender rings as a gathered setup? use the existing rope? Or rig it similar to this pic I took of how I temporarily rigged it?
Then...
There is the question of ridge line length. Set up like in the pic on both ends, it is currently 100.5", what would the suggested length be, based on the best way to rig it as asked above?Attachment 43315
Ummm, yeah... I'm really new to this :DD
Someone mentioned cutting a few ounces off the weight by removing the existing ropes and s-hooks. I'd replace them with the short loops through the channel. Since this hammock is similar to other HAAB hammocks, check out the thread in the Eagle's Nest Outfitters forum where people posted pictures of their mods. All of those mods should work for this hammock.
I made some continuous loops for the channels and tossed the stretchy rope and hooks. That helped. An adjustable ridgeline helped a lot more, so I could dial it in. I am also 5'11.
These are available on Woot.com again today under the Sports section!
How was the hang in this for those that have already bought it? I have the GT double parachute which looks really similar. I really the GT double as my first hammock and am looking to get a back up to sit in the back of the car just-in-case
:D
Is this similar to the GT?
I had a GT a yr and a half ago.
From what I recall, this is much wider and longer.
It is wayyyyy comfy!:)
