Only been here about a year, but in reading the old posts, "Risk" was there, I learned much from these posts. Yes a legend in the world of hammocks. I look forward to your inputs.

Wow! So exciting to have you on the forums again. You were part of my top 5 sources for hammock camping info when I got started. :)
Welcome back Risk. Your site was one of the first places I saw for diy hammock gear. It has been interesting to see how many "new" ideas were ones you had already done.
How exciting to have you back!!! What an honor!!! I'm a big DIY, (not light weight though), but I find your stuff really inspirational and much of it has lead me on my journey of doing/making what I like. I hope I get to meet you at one of our hangs.
Welcome back! Risk's page led me to JustJeff's page which led me here. To have a pioneer and resource like you here is truly a blessing. I think many here have learned so much from you.
Welcome back!! But unlike the rest, I don't recognize the name, sorry. Guess I should do some research......RR
Right! Great strides have been made. Why, they just recently discovered "wind buffers"! (Isn't that what you called them years ago?) Now they're "saddle bags." I invented them myself just two years ago ....
Did a search; they were "wind bumpers".

The side view of the TravelPod shows that no extra cloth is used. The bumps pushing out on the sides of the hammock are WindBumpers, described on another page. You may be able to see how the WindBumpers create an air space between the hammock and the TravelPod for the essential four central feet of the hammock.
I remember pouring over your stuff when I first started ! Welcome back!
I have no idea who you are.
Guess I will now! :D
For those that don't know or are google-challenged, here's a link to the site many of us pored over in our early days of hammocking.
