actually that is the way the media may be reporting (cause it just sounds so sensational! :rolleyes:) but in reality AZ and many parts of the SW have seen drought conditions for over a decade. This is (and last year) one of the relief winters that bring normal precipitation levels. Its very nice to have 1" per month of rain in Phx. That is the normal rate for N-D-J-Feb. Sadly tho, the Sierra Nevada and other areas are not getting normal snowfall, but much less than normal...
