My first cuben tarp
Welcome to the club, Loki :)
Yeah, welcome to the club. I was out at the Butterfield trail in Arkansas two weeks ago and it worked great in the rain. A bit loud, well louder then my previous silnylon tarp, but not so bad I couldn't sleep.
Oh, and my friends were very envious... :)
Very nice and very stealthy. Definitely on the want list
Set my new camo cuben HG Standard Tarp up in the back yard today - just to attach guylines, and some dutchware. Sorry, no pics - too windy...I'll hope to deploy this cuben at the Uwharrie hang in two weeks - pics then!!
Had a 2-piece dutchware ridgeline handy; but it's yellow! Gotta order a stealthier color ridgeline...
Any suggestions or reasons for using a one-piece ridgeline versus a two-piece ridgeline for this specific tarp ?

I'm using Dejoha's method shown in the 2nd video & illustration on this link. Scroll about 1/2 way down.

It's pretty cool; I think I like it.
I use a two piece ridgeline on my cuben tarp. I prefer this no hardware set up to remove the risk of hardware snagging the expensive material while in my pack.
I use a continual ridgeline with two prusic knots so I can slide the tarp up and down the line so it is always centered between the trees with ease. However, I have been thinking of going with two ridgeline setup coming off the two ties on the ridge of the tarp. Not sure where I am going to go with it.
Thanks MAD777, Moel, and Kerflop!
Lots of good ideas to ponder...
