So, a few people from San Diego have suggested we gather for an afternoon, maybe potluck something, or just BBQ near some trees and checkout other's gear...
So: Here it is, the San Diego first ever HF Hangout.
Sundays work best for me, so I suggest the following dates:
April 14 or April 28th.
Location? I live in La Mesa, but am willing to travel. There's a nice (large) park near me, but I'm not very central: Harry Griffen Park: http://goo.gl/maps/TrXT9

I work weekends but I'm off on the 28th! I'm in Chula Vista but will travel.
I'll scope out the park and find a good spot with a few good trees.
I have a ridgerunner to show and a couple of DIY's if anybody is interested.

I like the idea of the meet up, unfortunately I'm working both those days. I do have March 23-April 3 off work if anyone wants to meet up then. I live in El Cajon.

I could pull off March 24th (this sunday) if everybody wants to move the date. Hell, I'll show up for one other person... gets me out of the house, and I can throw a rock into El Cajon... (I live off Navajo and 125, near Grossmont college.)

I'm up for the Mar 24th. If you do throw a rock you probably would hit my place. I'm off Travelodge and W Main St.. 1pm works for me. Harry Griffen Park is a good location for me.
