Actually, I've got plenty of money going out in the next couple of months getting a new this and that. I think I may be able to restrain myself on this one, mostly cause I already have half a dozen tarps.
Bad enough that the Denver Flagship REI is only a 20 minute drive from my home or my office. I'm in there at least once a week, but I've gotten pretty good at 'window shopping'. Ain't easy!
I like the subdued colors, not necessarily the camo stuff. A slate green would be right up my alley. SWW is totally right about the light in the mornings. Love my blue SuperFly for late sleeping. Course, it's also the reason I usually 'hike' with a grey tarp. I can sleep real good if it's dark, not the greatest thing when you want miles. :D

Still have camo material for sale?
I like the newer digital camo patterns. They have a softness to them that works with the natural environment. Sure you can easily notice them close in, but from a distance I think it becomes less visible. I believe the military's goal was to break up a silhouette beyond 200yds. But for me the attraction isn't about the military look.
It's all esthetic. I like to blend in and large same color objects aren't "natural" unless you're a rock. From time to time, I camp in places I'm not supposed to be.
