Thanks for checking it out. I had a minor error where I pasted in the link, and a [url ] box populated it and it wouldn't display. Good to go now!

Hey all,
I went out to Afton State Park in MN in April 2019 and did a video tour on all 27 campsites, and whether or not each site is hammock and/or tent friendly. Hopefully this aides in your trip...
Hey all,
I have been looking at ways to make set-up a little quicker/modular, and maintain an ultralight set-up. What are your thoughts on the HG Dyneema Daisy Chain Straps at a 10-13' length (to...

It was a pretty hilarious situation... getting there and realizing I forgot something I thought I had. Thank goodness for mother nature for the save.
Thank you sir!
There are a few. 12 and 13 for sure. I haven't scoped out the rest yet. Also, site 12 probably couldn't handle more than 2 hammocks with 6' straps. Maybe one more with 10' straps.

Well, I finally got out to hang in this beautiful weather! Booked a campsite last night, and scooted on over to Lake Maria State Park in MN.
My first impressions of the BP3 site are not good. ...

FYI: This video series was put together more for newbies than anything.
The trip was great! Here's a playlist from the trip! I put it together for hammockers of all levels, though it is more geared toward the newbies out there. ...

Welcome from the Twin Cities!
Hello from the ice box of America (MN). Lots of great suggestions here. Also check out Sintax77 on youtube, as well as shugemery. Shug has a lot of great gear reviews and ideas, and Sintax is a UL...
Welcome from the North! Minnesota that is.
Deciding to head out tonight. Someone took camp 6 (the other good hammock site), so if it's one of you, I'll see you on the trail!
Thanks for the info Max. I could go for 6 or 12. Both have been mentioned as prime hammock spots. I'll be hiking in Thursday afternoon, and leaving Friday afternoon now, rather than the original 2...
Also, I know the dates are awkward, but it's the nicest two consecutive days. Can add Saturday too. Don't have to be there both nights, no limits here. Just want to make the offer.
Hey all,
I am wondering if anyone is interested in doing a hang at Afton Park in MN. I will be reserving Thursday, March 15th, and Friday, March 16th. Main goals are getting away, testing gear,...
Brilliant!
Tettagouche has a bit of up and down for a anyone with a little less experience. My brother both hated and loved it with his bad knee... Amazing views though.
Hello from MN! We just went through that storm too, it was a doozy. I can't wait for rain instead of snow.
Howdy from MN. I can't help you much as far as hangs go, but I can tell ya that I'd rather be there than here!
Welcome from somewhere else in MN!
Welcome from MN!
beans, you go ahead and buy it yet?
I bought mine without any hardware, and will be doing it myself. Bought a roll of zing-it, and a bunch of shock cord from Dutchware, along with some Dutch bling, to do it my way. My way = 5.5' on...
Hello from Minnesota, USA!
I pulled the trigger on the 11' standard with doors today. Got the dutchware bling, and will be doing the Adventure Alan door mod. Can't wait to hide it from my wife!
Another thing to look at is fabric weight. Typically heavier fabrics offer a flatter lay.
I teach Chemistry, and have a degree in biochemistry & molecular genetics. Also, it was a video game tag I had back in college.
I am also going through the same decision right now. 11' Hex, 12' hex or 11' with doors... I'm a bit torn.
What I've gathered through experience and forums so far....
- 11' hex: coverage in...
That's what I'm seeing too.. mistake possibly on sellers behalf. I hope it works out.
Well, if BigCRO changes his mind, I'll take it.
Ahh crap. Got over-ridden as I was reading the rules.
Sending PM.
Hey all,
I just booked a backpacking campsite at Jay Cooke for tonight and tomorrow night, to test out some gear/get away from computers. If anyone is interested in joining me, respond here and...
Day 2: as I lay in my hammock with the smallest storm possible hitting us and no one else, I'm glad to say that we made the trip to Kennedy Creek from Penn Creek.
Got a ate start. 10-ish. The...
This morning, I decided to switch from my WB Edge to the new WB Superfly, because of incoming possible severe storms. I wasn't sure if it would be overkill, but I figured, what the hell. Woke up at...
About 2 years ago, I went to the REI scratch & dent section in Bloomington, MN. I picked-up a $50 hammock with a broken suspension, busted tarp hardware, and over-stretched shock cord. I was still...
I'm going to check out your channel right now! Thanks!
Hey all, I am in the market for a tarp, and I've been doing what seems to be the norm... you know... drool over Cuben tarps, research a heck of a lot about the plusses and minuses of each type of...
I'm with Mark on this one. Once it cools down, they tend to hunker-down too. They always say to use it on the outside of gear, so since your tarp has doors, I'd advise against spraying on the...
Whooo Buddy! Thanks for all of the advice via YouTube over the years Shug. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the warm welcome all, I am looking forward to the cold weather hanging!
Hey all, I'm a long-time lurker, and finally decided to join. Figured I'd introduce myself. It looks like there's quite a few new joins in MN!
