I have found that the camo print does work. check out my home made Speer design hammock. I will be changing my bug net to a black. the only season this one does not work in would be winter white snow.
I used Speers design and it's a really easy build and really rock solid.
On my hammock i used the strapping from an old set of ratchet straps cut the hook off and away you go
