More specifically where do I want the tension to be? I'll try to describe this in text but it's probably better to draw.
If I wrap my tree hugger around a tree and then feed the end of tree hugger...
Well clearing the cookies didn't do it for me. The error message says unable to resolve name so it could be the DNS of the hotel. :/
I'm on vacation in turkey and I thought I'd spend some time in the shade, before I go all lobster red, ordering some stuff for an upcoming trip in June. But for some reason I can't access the site,...
Congratulations to Gregory I wish him good luck with the persuasion part, I know from experience how hard it is ;)
To Gresh and the others, thanks for putting some excitement in my day.
I've finally had the time to set up the Jarbidge and give it a test lay. Very easy to attach, I guess I will have to do an overnight to tell how easy it was to dial in.
Can't shake the feeling of...
I mean seriously, who has access to tents? ;)
I had an image pop into my head the minute I read this, but I won't be able to take that photo any time soon so feel free to shoot if you want:
I see a hammock among some tents using the actual tent...
I did not have the possibility to test my Jarbidge tonight so I'm really looking forward to reading your thoughts when you wake up.
What's the weather like? We had 51F during the day yesterday...
I got my Jarbidge last night and looking at your video you pretty much got it covered. Now all you need to do is a setup video, a quick review video and a long time use video. I'll be watching.
...
Ok, so I got my Jarbridge yesterday and things aren't quite as bad as you said.
Apparently I've been bad because my Customs karma did not let me slip by unnoticed, but I only ended up paying $36...
I haven't got any animal stories but my first night hammocking last summer I had a wasp buzz around for what seemed like forever. The sun comes up pretty early in Sweden during the summer, this was...
That would indeed suck big time. Let's hope I have better karma.
Hi and welcome from your European neighbor Sweden.
Dude tell me about it, it's OK to buy lotion for $100's but you still get the frown/sigh when buying outdoor gear that actually has a value should you some day want to get rid of it. Separate...
Welcome from Sweden! A word of advice, take your time and try to figure out what should be best for you before buying to much gear. I went all in and bought stuff I wasn't really comfortable in. I...
A warm welcome from Sweden!
Welcome from Sweden, hang tight at a 30* angle or personal preference ;)
Hi and welcome from Sweden!
Hello European neighbor and welcome to HF from Sweden.
Don't let that stop you, the way I see it the Jarbidge with shipping included is by far the most economic UQ you can get your hands on, in terms of cost/weight. I know the DD Underblanket will cost...
The force is strong with this one, Mr Wallace.
Ouch!
Although this is set up in broad daylight it's a reminder to check the trees if you get to camp at night or during winter when there are no leaves on the trees. A dead tree might not stick...
Hello an welcome from a thawing Sweden.
For obvious reasons I named my Squidbilly tarp "Admiral Ackbar". Consequently I had to name my 11' Dutch Argon hammock the "Mon Calamari Snoozer". I hadn't thought about naming the 3s AHE KAQ...
Welcome from a chilly Sweden.
I'm not saying it wouldn't work for all thieves but if I were one I wouldn't be scared of a hot boxed hammock, quilts on the other hand now that's just nasty.
First of all, this thread amused me, if there were upvotes to give you all would gotten your fair share.
Secondly what is hot boxing?
Good job spotting the really nerdiest of references. The other is of course based on the maker and the Admiral being squid-like, also the color of the tarp sort matches its namesake. I plan on...
Finally a had the time to give my new tarp made by Squidbilly a proper test pitching.
It's an 11 foot brown silargon hex tarp. D-rings on the ridgeline tie-outs and triangles on the corners and...
Thanks for the heads up, I have seen them but I was hoping for some down in that price range. I know that would be cheap but hey, it never hurts to ask.
I will most likely go for the KAQ jarbridge...
Sounds like a good deal but I'm more in the market for something sub $100.
Thanks for the offer though, I'm sure someone will be happy to give your quilt a new home if you decide to offer it more...
You should know, you made it. ;)
It also doubles as a swing.

How low have you pushed your Jarbridges and still felt comfortable?
I'm a bit short on cash to buy a brand new UQ so I'm trying the used or DIY market. Do you have a 20 degree 3/4 length under quilt store bought or DIY? I'm interested so post here or send me a PM.
Apparently not.
:)
Seems I should have updated/refresh the page before posting.
So in essence no worries if you're going with Amsteel?
Would you mind posting a picture of that for us newbies.
I just got my Durch Argon hammock with whoopie hooks suspension and I have no idea what a UCR is or where on the hook to deburr.
That was not where I was putting the ball. I'm a bit unsure if it will help but I'll give it a shot.
Do that, it's actually a really great way to get to that muscle behind the shoulder blade. I think the two in combination will be my next remedy.
Oh I forgot to mention.
Sit on the floor feet...
Thanks for the tip. I used another stretching exercise to get rid of the pain though. I've tried that tip before when I had a similar problem but from sitting slouched at work.
Sit on the floor....
I shouldn't say I haven't checked them out at all but I don't think I did for sil-nylon tarps.
The ones I looked at and got this seemingly wrong idea were Zpacks, mountain laurel designs and hyperlite mountain gear + one or two more.
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to look around some more.
Suspected as much. Got any names on one or two of those cottage vendors?
I've been looking at a new tarp and would really like to go for a lighter than my previous DD tarp. I would really like to get a cuben fiber tarp but they are a bit pricey. The other option I know of...
Thanks for all the helpful replies. Reluctantly I've realized that I probably have the wrong type of hammock for me. I sold my DD Frontline this morning and will look at DIY alternatives. But first...
Do you mean whether I lay diagonally head left, feet right or do you mean if I tilt my head to the left and tilt my feet to the right. Anyways the answer to the first claim is sort of yes. I'm not...
Hi there,
So yesterday I did my second overnight. Actually I was meaning to put my bottom insulation to the test, two windshield protectors taped together. Temperatures were around 7*C when I got...
