George it's not the same tarp. This my first tarp and is 2 feet longer costing $16 to make.
I am definitely going to add tab to it.
I also look up the doors and have a better understanding of...
Interesting I always thought it was just a rectangle tarp.

I did not know about the seconds but thanks for the link, I will use them. The fabric I used was readily available at my local Walmart $1.97/yard and since I just started sewing $2 yard ...
No you really don't. :laugh:
Just started to sew and I can't keep a stitch running straight. Looks like a drunk does the sewing on my gear.:scared:
Yep it can be done
Tarp 7 yards of fabric = $14
2 spray cans of water proofing = $11.76
Hammock 3 yards of fabric = $6
Straps = $3.49
Bug Net = $6.98
Sewing = $0
Total = $42.23
I love DIY.
Not sure as I don't have a scale. I will borrow one from a friend later today (if he's home).
Yea I know this has been beat to death. But wanted to post my results.....
I needed a loaner for an up coming event. So off to WallyWorld I went
and picked up some more Taslite nylon (digital camo)...
Where can you get buy one from?

Hey all.
First I tried doing a search and didn't find a thing.
So I'm going to ask.
Does anyone know of an item called a snugpak?...
Wow. Thanks for the warm welcome. A lot of nearby members. Good to see I'm not the only nut in the trees.

Hi Everyone.
I'm located in Stroudsburg, PA I have only been hanging less than a year.
I like to do mostly float trips so weight is not that big of a deal for me but can appreciate the ultra light...
