Yes, I can never seem to comprehend people who have no issue defacing such beauty. Fantastic pictures otherwise :D Great job!

Please ignore the blue bag full of dog waste LMAO
You didn't specify if it needed to be down so dont forget about the old DIY poncho liner UQ.
LOL! Very true!
This guy is unable to make XL tarps with doors. Only square/rectangles if you want it big.
The largest tarp with doors is going to be the Dutchware Wide Winter Tarp, I'm pretty sure. Kelty Noah 16X16 is an option but ive heard mixed reviews of the waterproofness. Ofcourse you can find...
Personally if i was going to going to crawl into a sleeping bag naked after I'm all sweaty and gross from days of hiking, I would stick to synthetic gear so its easy to clean.

Any idea what makes that Amok comfortable for you?[/QUO
That's a really good question that i can not answer very scientifically. My guess is...
I am also a side sleeper at home (I also like to have my lower arm extended under my pillow). I tried for a very long time to get comfy in a GE only sleeping on my side. It took a while to accept...
Your backpack sealed up actually has a little insulating value. If you put a neoprene sleeve around a hard nalgene bottle, followed by wrapping your spare clothing around it and putting it upside...
I dont NEED it, just bored and brainstorming... I found this thread after I posted. Found these images from "mountainm" he made these and pretty much what I was imagining.

I suppose it would be for somebody on a tight budget with an existing subpar tarp... IDK..
Just wondering if anybody has ever messed around with the idea of having tarp ridgeline extensions that could be rigged up to an existing tarp. Could maybe come in handy for somebody who needs a...
Thanks Shug, very useful video!
Yes good point! Thank you
Thanks you guys for the insight! So my topquilt is a standard burrow, putting it at 50" wide. So it seems that the fact that my TQ isn't wide enough, and that i'm using a pad in my RR, is causing...
I just recently purchased a whole new setup. Upgrading from a sleeping bag to a top quilt, and going from a Dutch netless to a Ridgerunner hammock. As a side sleeper, i found it very difficult to...
Very odd. I would try to find somebody strong to see if they could separate them first before you send them back. This is because I know warbonnet has been in low supply of the spreader bars...
My first backpacking trip was filled with mud, and uneven terrain. Thus my interests in hammocks was born.
For those of you that have tried, do you think using a pad in the Ridgerunner gives it a significantly flatter lay? Thanks.
My straps go with the hammock for good weather because its convenient. However, i carry a stuff sack just in case i want to seperate them.
Okay im glad you said that. I contacted Hammockgear and they said they recommended folding it. But thats is so inconvenient.
How do you pack away your dyneema tarp? Do you use the stuff method with snake skins or fold it up? Thanks!
All other details aside, that looks like it would be super comfortable for side sleeping.
They definitely tear easy, but are still functional after being torn ( I suppose it depends how extensive the tear is). I have used loofah snakeskins for years, and never bought a real one.
Hey I know im a bit late for this thread but can you explain why a bridge hammocks often require more length for proper coverage? Thanks!
(My thought process: WBRR is about 6.5ft in length, so an...
correct, but in the summer when night time temps can be 80F+ and humid, I wouldnt be using a pad or UQ. Does a double layer hammock fix this issue?
So ive noticed that many hammocks have bugnet covers like the ridgerunner or chameleon, however they do not protect you from the bottom like a fronkey. Has anybody had problems with this?
I hear alot of people complain about moisture and condensation while using a pad in a hammock. Why is this not a problem with the highly popular Amok Draumr?
Happy Birthday Shug! Thanks for all the material and information you have put out! I truly appreciate it.
Interesting. I wonder what the reviews of the final product will be like
Ive been looking at the Ninox "Flat Lay" hammock. Does anybody understand why it would give a flatter lay than a Chameleon or Blackbird etc. ?
Thats awesome. Do you have any pictures?
I know GT and ENO aren't the best hammocks but the attached stuff sacks are very convenient and serve as great place to put stuff while asleep. I was disappointed when i realized that Dutch netless...
Thank you. So Ive been using a GT double for a very long time and am used to its width, although Ive always known it wasnt a great hammock. I saved up for a Dutch netless 58'" and it felt very...
Thanks everybody! I appreciate the insight :)
Is it possible to for a 11ft, WIDE dutchware hammock to be too big for me and adversely affect my sleep? I am 5'8. Maybe some people like their hammock to be on the larger side? Thanks.
How often do you adjust your underquilt? Everytime you hang, or do you generally find the right adjustment and leave it like that?
Great Idea!
Was looking at the 2Go System R.E. Cover. Does anybody have any experience with it or any of their products for that matter. Its essentially a breathable emergency blanket that surrounds the pad to...
Was noticing that when looking at HG topquilt footbox options, the sewn is more expensive the zippered/drawstring option. I figured it would be more expensive to pay for a zipper+its installment but...
I know I'm the odd one out here, but i always feel like solo trips aren't as fun for me. I enjoy sharing the experience with somebody else.
Nope, no fine print on the matter mentioned anywhere.
That is beautiful! And ive asked multiple vendors and all of them have declined, saying that it is too wide for them to do :(.
Thanks for the advice. And just for clarification its not a 2 person shelter. The goal is to not have to hunch over all the time when inside.
Im looking to make a extra large hammock hot shelter with a good amount of head room. Im 5'7 so id be able to pitch my tarp about 6.5-7ft. Also the walls wouldnt go straight out 8ft but instead...
Sorry if i was unclear, but i want my tarp with doors. and a ridgeline of 12ft and a width of 16ft.
Agh, he said he couldn't do it because he only does square and rectangle shaped tarps up to 12ft wide. Any other Vendors in mind?
So I wanted a custom tarp built with the dimensions of 12ftX16ft with doors. I contacted hammockgear but they said they were unable to create it because they dont make tarps wider than 9.6ft. Does...
This is awesome, what are the dimensions of the tarp??
