I have rheumatoid arthritis which makes it exceedingly difficult to use my hands in the morning until I have been up for a few hours...is there a suspension that requires little to no strength to...
Thanks to all who put on a great hang (our first)...My grandson "ConnorBear" was so impressed at the huge number of hammocks!!
already downloaded the coordinates so I can go hunting with the grandson...we go geocaching almost every weekend!!
Thanks...just ordered a tarp for the grand-daughter, the grandson already has a camo one :)
Added my name and the grandson to the list...it will be our first time at a group hang!! If it goes OK I might bring 2 grandchildren next year!!
Welcome from Salisbury on the quiet eastern shore!!
Wow...this will be the first one I will be able to make!!
I live on the shore and really don't know of any marsh camping areas in Dorchester county. There may be hunting guides who would allow hammock camping on some of their hunting properties though....
One more Marylander...eastern shore...welcome to the greatest place for "all that is hanging" info!!
My grandkids have been camping, both tent and hammock since they were each just a few months old. The little one (age 4) is getting her own purple hammock for the holidays...she just does not care...
Got my new bling and oh so sweet purple hammock for the granddaughter...next Friday is payday again so I might just have to order another setup for myself!! Thanks Dutch!!! :)
Take your time with my order...if somebody else needs their stuff faster, go for it...I just need the hammock for Hanukah for the granddaughter. :)
couldn't resist....ordered a set...now I need to go back to the website because I forgot to order the purple hammock to go with them...duh!!!
My grandchildren hammock camp...the little one (age 4) just graduated to her own hammock this summer...big brother (age 7) is a old hand with his. He is a wolf cub this year and will be going on a...
Started my grandkids at 3 months old (my own kids even younger because they were born in the summer)...they LOVE camping and hiking and anything to do with outside...now ages 7 and 4 and camp with me...
Love all the princess references...never being a girly girl, I never got into the whole princess thing, but the little grand-daughter loves all the Disney princesses so I am learning them through...
Almost anything goes in the quest for the smileys!!!
Good "Princess" references...actually we have watched Frozen 30+times and Brave even more...the grand-daughter even has a tiny little bow!
now that's REALLY embarrassing!!! :D
It was really quite comfortable...I thought the little bag would slip and bunch up under me because I roll around a lot while I sleep...but it stayed pretty much under me like a good little...
That is one sweet set-up...great job!!
I had a chance to sneak away for a couple of days of camping, hiking and geocaching...so of course I hurried up and left before anybody figured out I was gone.
Got to the state park, started...
too funny...maybe the dog needs a hammock with 4 leg holes to keep it out of trouble while you are setting up camp!! :)
Both my grandchildren sleep in them and I have been so moved to use one or the other on occasion too.
So sorry for your addiction, but at least you are in the right forum...we ALL are hammock addicts...and love every second of it!!! :)
I received the pads I ordered and they seem fine...the grandkids used them in the hammocks last night (down in the 50s out) and they slept toasty warm with just the pad and the 40 degree sleeping bag...
No hanging in the trees there...take a stand of some sort...I live just 40 miles away and camp there quite often. I use a hammock with a bug net to keep from being a feast for the flies and skeeters....
ordered a couple for the grandkids...cub scout camping trips coming up in October!
I too started using a FULL net when I woke up with a huge garden spider taking up residence inches from my face under my tarp...have slept like a baby ever since then. Kick off the covers on a sultry...
#2 is pretty...wouldn't mind having one like that myself!! I used my Yukon hammock when I hiked from Greenbrier SP in MD to Harpers Ferry in early July...but yours are so much nicer!!
just ordered a set of bags...just love little bags for organizing things...and one will be just for my firefly stove!!
I signed in...thanks!

Awww way to sweet to do this great give-away for the hanger community...thank you! I just got back from a couple of days on the AT and of course I had to hang...poor folks in tents had to contend...

As in the eastern shore of Maryland?? That is where I live and it is the only place I have ever heard of being called by that name other than Virginia's tiny slice of "eastern shore" Welcome to...
My "turtlelady" bamboo stand is all bamboo except for a 18 inch piece of PVC that is the connector sleeve for the 2 pieces that make up the ridge pole...very light weight and easy to transport to...
Sweet...time to get out the map and see how far we actually have to travel to get there...might even come a day or 2 early to make the vacation a bit longer and get in a bit more hiking time!!
I am going to try to make it there, either by myself or with another woman who is not a hanger....she would need a place for her pop-up camper and be able to bring the very old dog. If she can't come...
I wish I could but when I asked today the boss looked at me like I had grown an extra head. I have to ask months ahead to get off...very few at work who can do my job unfortunately
