Thanks for the heads up. Just got 2yr sub.:)
Wow, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that hates to sew that stuff.
does the beer come with it?
Well if your talking weight, its no issue Ti all the way. The hogs hold way better though. I usually mix up my stakes some Ti and some needle stakes. I never bring the hogs but I do like the MSR...
Good little hammock. All the extra's for suspension though will double the cost:scared:
I have that same mod on my two UQ"s keeps it snug and warm
I believe they discontinued making the wisp. Nice wind shirt BTW
square yard
Ops didn't see you were from Canada, sorry
Here it is again
This guy is pretty cheap. http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=16
You might be having a problem because you did't list the bag as the "UL" Spiral the one you have in your title that everyone will google for price is the 600fl MB and its selling for $270. So people...

Enough to last a lifetime
Nice Job!!! I am going to do the same thing, I have a 15 foot piece of sil laying around. Whats the distance from corner to corner?
I would say it does have a green tone to it. But it is gray. Clear as mud right!
I just bought some of that 1.5 from Scotty and it's nice material perfect for my weight. The color isn't to bad either, when I bought it I was thinking it would be the Sil-nylon grey but it actually...
Permethrin, they won't bite no more!!!
I am the same way, I still go to the ground on occasions. Fortunately I like both ways. Gives me more options of sleep for different topographic areas.
I have one also, great little hammock. I have more money in to the rigging of the GT than the hammock itself.
lol, yea I know how everyone is attached to their BB so I had to add a disclaimer.
Maybe that is one order that came from the China Factory. Light Joke here people.
Scott, Thanks for the fast shipping on the 1.5 ripstop. Must say the color grey is nice, muted not like the sil nylon grey color I'm very happy w/ it. It's going to make a great hammock for the...
The cheaspest as you said is Noah
I use one on my ridgeline. I also throw an extra in my bag for joining two lines, clothesline or whatever the need be.
Yea if you were going to make a down TQ or UQ why not make one using Climashield insulation? Much easier too.
Excellent glad to see you found the 1.5oz ripstop again. Perfect weight for my size. Order on the way!
Raven, any pics on that Taupe sil yet? Really like to see what it looks like.
Is there a date set?
The sil/grey is the basic color all the tarp makers use. I recall recently someone buying the Taupe color and liked it alot. Not sure if that is still one of their choices
Good choice, I can't stress more there is no money savings here. Sil is very cheap from the right source. If you cheap out you will only kick yourself in the arse for not doing it the right way.
Excellent Job!!! Might have to add one onto my TQ.
Here. http://www.noahlamport.com/ Google would work!
BTW you need to call to see what color and quantity is available. Also you have to buy more than 10 yds. And ask them to ship it off the roll so...
You need 8 yards of sil. Noah Lamport once again sells only 10 yards or more. So 10 yards of quality material is going to cost you approx. $40. You will probally spend more than that on sub-par...
Going to make something this week! It will take you that long to get all the materials together. I admire your positivity.
1) Sil-nylon probally the best value for light weight and price.
2) Noah Lamport comes out to around $4.00 a lin yard including shipping.
3) I don't understand the your grammar. If what your...
Wow like bee's to honey! Nacra you wouldn' have any 1.5 or 1.7 laying around? Would like to make a hamock from that weight.
Mad777, I am a dope. I looked at those vendors and couldn't find anything. I didn't know what wpb stood for so I never opened that link. Thanks!!! Just what I was looking for.
I am looking to make a pair of waterproof mittens such as MLD e-vents. I have Sil-nylon, but for the palms I need a breathable water-proof material. Any ideas? Pertex, E-vent or other... The stuff I...
Very nice, while that tulle is light it's also very fragile.
Very nice, looks like my BA air core. How much down? Total weight?
While yes it's simple, I think (if I may speak for redwood and others) is that it might be disheartening. You might think a notice that an increase is on the way. Also it's a steap increase for some,...
Time for you to learn to sew.
I don't know, I think he should voice his opinion... 27% increase is HUGE! I'm with ya Redwood on this one.
Hey! How ya doing...."what exit"
The speer is for a 8x10 rectangle. Try Scott at Backwoods Daydreamer is link below to his winter tarp measurements.

The other day I was sewing up a bugnet out of Tulle. That stuff is pretty hard to work with. Very hard to see if the two pieces are lined up or not. Anyway as I'm feeding the material my left index...
Further; I asked if he had any "woodsy" colors, and he said he had Taupe and said it was brown. I got 10 yards, and it's an awesome olive brown. I couldn't get more stealth unless I got this same...
Only a $26. saving. I rather go right to the source.
I'm sewing some right now, making a bug net. Its a pain to work with. Hard to see the ends.
