Since I'm new, the bag's versatility is cool. Having the option to use it a couple different ways is a plus- even if it isn't optimal at either.

As far as I can see, there aren't many hammocks that open at the feet, except for rectangular bags. So, let's assume most bags are going to require some modification to slip over your hammock anyway....
