i used those exact same clips to convert my snugpak blanket into an underquilt for indoor/home use. it worked perfect for that purpose. glad you found a solution to your issues.

hope this isn't breaking any rules, but here's a copy of the instructions in pdf that i downloaded from their website.

I think it looks better in person than the pictures. I still say to myself, "that's such a pretty blue," whenever i see it.
good to hear you had a good time! looks you took advantage of their firewood too. i once posted a picture on another forum of my hammock on a tato stand, and got a lot of criticism about "there are...
Thanks for the update!
I'll also add that they recently added food storage containers to each site because of "increased bear activity." Of the many times I've been there I've never seen or heard...
welcome from another biker!
The head end bar still has 3 sections, or segments. The middle part is longer than 4" though.
strange, i wonder why they changed the middle piece to be male on both ends. i would've liked to have the option to reduce it like the old way. even their accessories page for extra spreader bars...
i ordered a RR during their black holiday sale and the head-end spreader is in 3 pieces. the middle piece is a male on both ends, so there's no way to shorten it by excluding the middle piece.

I'm 5'6" or 5'7" depending on the day, and my short Inc is perfect for me. I see people talk about the leg shelf but I don't really get it. The inside of my Inc is completely flat from top to bottom,...
by a huge margin, this is my favorite winter weather hat! nothing comes close. i'm so glad to see these back online.
are you guys still planning this? there's supposed to be more wintry mix this weekend, which may end up being more rain than snow.
my vote would be two costco quilts. one quilt is good enough for warm weather use, and then you can double them up for colder temps. i love my HG burrows. but if i was cheap i'd go with costco.

Enjoy your new gear!
I'll take the spindrift.
that's a lot to consider. two external poles, or 3/2/1 internal poles. i didn't want to buy pre-made vendor poles, since i want to consider options and then tailor the poles to what i need. i was...
ya good point, didn't think about the leakage factor. how about using existing tieout points (3 on each side) and using those to do an internal pole mod?
that thing is spacious inside! it's like a condo. how wide is the tarp? their website doesn't list the width.
i think i would much prefer an internal pole mod, but none of my tarps are set up for it so i'm just trying to use what's available, i.e. the external pullout tabs. anyone invert their tarp and use...
The best example i can think of are the warbonnetoutdoors tarp pole kits, they're sized differently based on the tarp. https://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/product/tarp-pole-mod-kit/
I currently have...
Ya I'm aware of that post. I was just trying to see if there was a way to calculate pole length that could apply to different tarps.
Is there a typical standard or formula that can be used when determining the length of poles for an external pole mod? The nerd in me is wondering if my tarp's pullouts are 48" apart from each other...
not sure why mine shipped before yours, but fwiw i ordered 2 econ quilts and a journey tarp.
and just like that, i get an email saying my order has shipped. can't wait to get my stuff. :)
thanks for the info! i was expecting someone to reply and tell me to email them, but i just didn't want to bug them about it. i figured someone here would've emailed them about it anyway. :)
i see on their homepage that lead time on quilts purchased on/after 12/5 is 10 weeks (4-5 weeks for tarps). so i guess i have another 4-6 more weeks to wait.
i placed my order on 11/24, and still awaiting fulfillment. just curious if anyone has received theirs yet from purchasing on black friday? not complaining, just trying to get a sense of lead time.
I'd love to get the hot tent combo for car camping. What are the 3 DIY poles used for? Is it to hold up the 29" wall?
If you no longer need or want the ucr ridgeline, you could dismantle the ucr where they meet in the middle and use the separated pieces as a tether line in addition to holding the pole end pieces...
Check out raftingtigger's pic on this post where she uses a solid bar to anchor both ends: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/141977-Tensahedron-Stand?p=1833774&viewfull=1#post1833774...
All together, no, but I wasn't planning on using all 3 at once.
yeah that's what i meant, fold down length-wise. it was much more evident on the foot end, not the shoulder end, when using the two pads i wrote about. the taco effect with the pads was still less...
Where can i get an underquilt for a bridge hammock for $100? Sign me up!
i tried 3 separate pads and here are my thoughts on each:
Exped MegaMat 10; Regular Wide: 72.1 x 25.6 x 3.9 inches; Regular Wide: 3 lb.s 12 oz.;...
Thanks for that, I missed it in their faq. That part of the faq seems to be more about their blackbird hammocks.
I ended up buying an Exped Megamat, Regular Wide: 72.1 x 25.6 x 3.9 inches. I'll...
That's a good idea and something to consider.
I believe the ratings for pads are based on ground use. What may work great on the ground may not be enough when hung midair. I have no experience with pads in the ridgerunner though so if the...
yeah, i don't think the 30" mondoking would fit either. i measured my ridgerunner, and it's about 29" wide, so a 25"x4" pad would fit better given the thickness.
i may get the mondoking 25" just...
Anyone have experience with a Thermarest MondoKing pad with a Ridgerunner? It's 4" thick, so I'd assume that a 30" wide would be too thick to fit? Trying to find a good winter pad that'll be good...
i see now, thanks! https://www.tensaoutdoor.com/2018/11/16/sneak-peek-tarp-extensions-for-tensa4/
i tried to search this thread but couldn't find an answer... how is the not-yet-released tarp extension different from the solo conversion that's already available?

lol i thought of that too, to put my OCD at ease i even considered cutting off the ties. the pocket is snug enough to hold the bugnet without having to be tied off. but in the end i may just hand the...
I'm used to a gathered end hammock so this will take some getting used to. It's a flatter lay but not by much.
i just got my first Ridgerunner in the mail. i love it. :boggle:
one thing "off" about it is that the bugnet's center seam isn't centered. it seems to function fine, but it just put my OCD into...
can you provide more info on the poles you're using? it looks like you're using fiberglass poles? i was planning to get 3 sections of 18" .344 aluminum poles (54" total length) to do a similar...
Has anyone used the 12' with the warbonnet ridgerunner? Wondering how well it works.
Already ordered a custom superfly, but was wondering if you've ever done a sale on custom tarps in the past?
I think there's another glitch there's no sale on custom superflys :)
That's what i mean, the double ridgerunners show up in the cart at 20% discount. Shouldn't it be 25%? That's what your home page says is the discount for ridgerunners.
