yes, you are correct. i did it backwards so i could put the adjustable end of the WS around the MSH if needed. Never thought about putting the fixed end over the toggle. i think i will try...

thanks for the vid. i guess i've been doing more mixed camping lately, where my wife and kids are in a tent, and i'm in a hammock, so my tree choices have been limited. some good tips to think...
I have whoopie hooks built in to the adjustable end of my whoopie slings. However, after adding up the length of an 11' hammock, plus the tree straps, plus the continuous loops that are larks headed...
any chance you know what it weighs? and also the width?
i'll take it!
sent you a pm.
temp rating should just be a matter of loft.

any pics from this? i had totally forgot to look for stuff in this sub. would love to get out and do some backpacking.
on the fence about these. can you guys post some more "in the field" pics? i also have issues with my whoopie hooks not being usable in a lot of situations because of the trees being too close...
i picked up a 13L S2S eVac dry bag. works pretty good if you ask me. i'm also using it for a inc/burrow 20* combo.
i'm also 6' and opted for the short incubator. works great if you ask me. saves a couple ounces and a little bit of space (i'm a backpacker).
do you know how old they are or when they were purchased?
i was actually in the campsite next door the weekend before this, and set up in the rain, ate in the rain, slept in the rain, and then woke up and hiked to the top in the rain and 40mph wind. so...
Just wanted to share some pics from last weekend. Had some nice lighting, I think they look pretty cool.

good price.
wings! what's the finished width on those?
some of the best quilts you can buy. but i feel like their pricing went up about 6 months ago, and i decided to look elsewhere.
someone should have posted an i'll take it...

dude just look at it....
i would just let it loft up, and measure how much you got. that's more important than anything else.
yeah i'm really digging that hyperD. just wish it was wider. don't want to do a double layer cuz i am a little weight conscious. has DH ever added ENO wings to a hammock?
you win this week. looks freakin awesome.
i don't know how comfortable i would be sleeping just a foot or 2 above crocs either tho =P
hope you feel better! one of your hats is still on my wishlist. i already have a set of tarp skins that are awesome. thanks for everything you do!
3 weeks isn't out of the ordinary.
Did you see what he just posted on Facebook tho?
you guys should post some pics! never enough 3rd party SLD pics...
he uses 2.2mm lash-it...that's still pretty darn strong stuff. i think you'd be ok just leaving it as is.
hi olddog. i definitely remember reading your posts throughout the 200 odd pages of this thread. glad to hear you haven't had any issues. i could have sworn like a year ago someone said they had...
those end caps scare me. i have em on mine, but try not to use em (depends on which hammock i use). i just don't have a way of drilling an eye bolt through the conduit.
i also need to figure out a...
have you tried to buy down by the bulk? $152 for 12 ouces, or i can get a HG 20* incubator for $250. for someone with new sewing skills or sewing machine, $250 was a bargain. or just buy a more...
How do you guys use the quilt hooks or grosgrain loops? Do you even use them with your quilt? I have an HG incubator, so it doesn't have the sections of exposed shock cord to hang on to. Although...
i don't have a phoenix to compare, but here are an incubator and burrow in their supplied stuff sacks. 88819
you could probably squeeze them down a bit smaller if you had a compression sack.
good choices. i recently came to the same conclusion you did. 20* incubator and 20* burrow. i just moved to colorado, so i'm hoping it will still be cool in the summer at elevation.
if you get bored, can you take a pic of that for me? i'm trying to find a solution for the same problem. using a trash compactor bag now, but looking at the eVent dry sacks or a cuben fiber one...
Just got this thing in the mail on Monday. I normally HATE camo, but this is a single layer of 1.8 "Night Grid Camo" that is 11ft long, with both a fully removable bugnet and top cover. Really...
haha, good luck. one of the hardest decisions i've made in my life =P colors...overstuff...sew or snaps on burrow...20* or 30*....etc.
88372i always assumed that color was black, but i've heard other people call it brown. the current brown is NOT that color tho. it is much brighter and shinier. here is a pic of a regular 32oz...
i definitely see a bit poking through every now and then, i have a green/titanium 20* incubator and burrow. i know others have said this, and i really don't know if it's true, but it does seem to...
some people say it's not. how bad are the mosquitoes gonna be where you are going? if i was going to worry, i might just give it a quick spray just to be safe.
pretty sure TBs only have one pull per side. so if it's all the way zipped, it's above your head, reach up and zip it down toward your feet.
i'll take the DH TB.
i assume you would use them with something like this http://www.bz2-img.com/images_customers/09/16/44760347_377384_full.jpg
they will keep your sleeping pad underneath you.
great write up. as someone who was born and raised in michigan but didn't get into camping until i had moved away, i'm super jealous. spray that netting with some permethrin and kill those...
it's a WB traveler 1.1 DL and WB travel net. sorry for the pics being rotated the wrong way!
Got my matching 20* Incubator and 20* Burrow! Hunter green inside, titanium grey outside. Adam and Jenny were awesome to work with. The quality of the gear is fantastic. I couldn't find a better...
i wanted a full length UQ, since i didn't want to have to worry, plus I sleep a little cold. however, i'm 6'0" and went with the short incubator, and i think it's enough coverage. if you consider a...
can someone post pics of the footbox of the XLC? and perhaps what it looks like when you are using it in "traveler" mode? trying to grasp what was cut away and replaced with mesh.
another thumbs up from me for HammockGear! had a little hiccup with my underquilt. emailed jenny and next thing I know, 10 minutes later, my phone is ringing, and it's adam on the other end. they...
i had been watching this subforum for ~6 months waiting for this exact setup 20*/short. i'm 6', and always considered the regular HG overkill. other companies regulars are just 2" longer than the...
