SLD wide treerunner hammock w/suspension

Well how’s that for service
Thank you
I’m pretty sure the sidecar would if you mentioned it in your order. But what about the sling?
It seems like it should work in the same way but I’m not sure.
I bet if you try an 11 ft cottage hammock (you can get a basic one relatively cheap), you’ll kick yourself for not upgrading sooner.
I originally had an eno, it’s not in the same league (and cost...
Thanks but I’m gonna pass.
I’m not saying it’s not a fair deal. I get the wait for the custom work. But that’s more than I was hoping to spend.
Good luck
That sounds interesting
How much are you asking?
I’m looking for a hammock with an integrated bug net. Something like a trail lair or Dutch half zip. I’m open to other options if it’s 11’ long.
I’d be interested in buying one you’re not using....
I’m checking out a new trail lair and noticed an option for permanent continuous loops (crafted with through channel)
I’m not sure what that means exactly but it sounds cool.
I would think I...
Ain’t that the truth. Hammocks and backpacking gear is nothing compared to some of my buddies hobbies...dirt bikes, snowmobiles, mountain bikes etc...
Some of you make it sound like there’s a group hang happening every weekend. Are these events really happening as often as this site makes it seem? I checked my region in that sub forum and nothing...
That’s a nice looking kit.
It’s also worth over $1000. Which is cool, I’m kinda jealous but to get that light you have pay.
My hammock set up is not the lightest available but it’s pretty close to the same weight as my BA copper spur UL1. And a hell of a lot more comfortable.
Add up everything, including quilts and...
That’s a good looking setup
I’ve been using a split ridgeline with tarp flyz and zing it. Been thinking about switching to stingers instead.
I got an Econ burrow wide so I can use it for hammocks or ground.
I’m pretty impressed. I don’t regret getting the regular one at all.
The only acceptable thing is to stash it in the closet and get that new one you’ve had your eye on.
That’s a sweet looking setup
The trippy part to me is not necessarily the cost of the different setups but all the different ways you can hang it, cover it, insulate it, or tie it out. It’s endless. If you’re Into bikes then you...
Lol, I guess that’s true
Nevermind
Pretty sure that’s a SLD trail winder uqp with insulation.
Relatively quick turnaround too. They said 4-6 weeks and I got it on the 4th week.
<<<satisfied customer
Man, this thing is sweet! My first quilt and I’m pretty impressed. It’s an Econ burrow 30* wide. Can’t wait to get it out on the trail.
Thanks HG.
Do you like that? “Hang” out...get it? Lol
Anyway, I noticed there’s over 600 users online but there doesn’t seem to be much movement on the boards. Are they just reading and researching? Are...
Ha! I actually had to drive down the hill an hour to get to a trail that wasn’t buried under 10’ of snow.
Snowshoeing is great but I’m ready to get back on a trail.
I couldn’t figure out how to embed the picture but here’s a link
I Went on a little day hike and set up for a bit today.

That SLD gear hammock is calling my name. Hanging it from the ridgeline above hadn’t occurred to me. That’s interesting. The peak bags from SLD also look legit.
What do you use? Shelf? Gear hammock? Hang from the trees?
I’ve been eyeballing a gear hammock just to get stuff off the ground. Maybe there’s a better option.
That’s my problem with the toggle. I’m sure it’s fine, I know people have used it for years, but I worry about the loop slipping off. I can’t get it to stay flat so it twists. I’m gonna run the...
I have tried it and liked it better than the toggle. I’m just not a fan of the toggle. There may be some issue with the weight bearing on the hitch and not over the knot. But it has worked ok for me.
Dutch makes hardware for daisy chains the would weigh less than a caribiner
They’re super cheap if you want to just buy them from Dutch, SLD,warbonnet etc..
Ah, I get it now.
Thanks
So you use the Dutch binders to connect to he whoopie to the tree strap?
The radius of the Dutch biner is pretty small. That works with a strap loop? I never thought to use it that way.
Sometimes I wish there was just one way to hang in a hammock so I wouldn’t have to make all these decisions, lol
I kind of like that idea. That’s how you guys have them in your site.
I could just larkshead the whoopie through the channel and eliminate the CL and Dutch biner.
I feel like the simplicity of a long strap that goes around the tree to my loop would be easier than a tree strap>Toggle>whoopie>dutch biner>loop.
maybe I’m just overthinking it. I’m sure there...
Thinking of switching from whoopies to buckles. It just seems easier with less parts and I’m not a fan of the MSH. I haven used them though.
What do you prefer and why?
Wow, that’s service
You don’t have to get a fancy hammock with shelves and dual lay and bugnets.
You can get a really nice simple, 11 ft hammock for under $50
I’m not anti-tent. But the last few times, I didn’t get a good nights sleep.
I slept in my eno car camping and decided to get one to take backpacking. It’s just more comfortable.
I’m sure I...
I was going to ask this too. I just ordered a week ago. I’m not impatient, just excited, lol
I have one of those SLD pillows on the way
Check out this uqp with insulation. It’s pretty sweet

Nice video
And pretty cool if you to hype this up. It is indeed a very cool piece of gear.
I was all set to get a jarbidge. Then I saw your original post. I’m much happier with this. It fits my...
I get the HYOH thing.
If you want to hang in a hammock when it’s -40...knock yourself out.
Seems crazy to me but I’m just a guy from California. I have a hard time imagining what -40 would...
