I use a duffel bag to transport camping gear, I put my collapsed poles in there with all my stuff. It gets checked in, and goes with all the other luggage below the plane. Never had a problem...

Mine just came in the mail today. Giovanni you told me that you were not able to anodize them but you came through. Including putting a bury on the leaders so the anchors don't slip off.:)
