Just a thought... Couldn't you leave the third leg eye open, hook the other two and leave that open end face up/away from hammock to allow ease of separation and storage?

I am curious if you may share what materials you used for your own pads (the fill and fabric)? I was thinking it would be awesome to make my own set of spring fall inserts and then separate winter...
