For the money, it's worth it to get 2qzq to modify your Hennessy. The workmanship is great, as well as it is definitely useable or saleable after. Just my $.02.
I'm in, great offer, always need things with in reach.
Redden Net in Steveston has always provided me with good service. They are a small shop and have always been accomodating to requests for amsteel for DIY hammock gear.
Just noticed this thread, I am also interested though may other scheduled events may come first.(family, scouts, other volunteering, etc)
Add my name also, thanks.
Happy Solstice, winter is is in the northern hemisphere.
At each tarp pullout, a loop of 1.75mm zing-it yellow prussiced to 6 ' length of 1.75mm zing-it yellow,(tarp tensioned by 2 tied loops with 1/8" shock cord near the eye), end of line has an eye large...
Try looking on craigslist under yard swing for something like Old Dog's hammock stand. Some DIY required, but that's half the fun of what we do here.
Welcome from Richmond, across the Salish Sea.
I have been in private contact with Tyson since July about a complete roll of 2.2 mm X 180' that I don't need from a source nearby. He doesn't reply that often.
I'll take it. PM inbound.
A friend is gearing up & can use this.
I'm in, I'm in, 2, thanks
I'm in, too. Great idea.
Another source for Cinch buckles, 1" is ON ROPE 1 inc, www.onrope1.com. (item DJ101)

Hi and welcome from Richmond, BC.
It looks very snowy and white above you today from the lowlands here.
Winter camping in your backyard on Mount Seymour can be interesting.
Picked up tarp and extras today, time to put it to use. It looks almost new.
Thanks
MacCat Standard Tarp, I'll take it.
E-mail with paypal info.
Welcome from the West Coast.
UQ all the way, they usually pack much smaller than a pad and don't shift in the night when you least except it to (except in winter). Every new to you hammocking thing...
Welcome from Richmond,BC. This forum has so much information available to you, buy or DIY. Hennessy is only one of many designs to get off the ground.
Forgot, PM enroute.
I'll take the Snowpeak 1400 potset and the DIY 1.1 double
UQ, cold back syndrome at 3am, no fun
I'll take it!
PM on the way.
In order to lighten up my DIY tarp setup, I recently purchased a roll of Zing-it from Redden in Bellingham, WA, (with the HF discount, or course).
I then ordered a pair each of the flyz and hooks...
Time and experience shows us all to get up off the wet, usually rough, never level ground.
There is much to learn from all who post here.
Enjoy, from the West Coast of Canada.
Can you post images of the whole tarp? I may need another tarp project soon.
Great images and opportunity for gear testing.
When we take Scouts to Winter Camp, we encourage all to bring remove-able liner boots as your bodies produce a lot of moisture and single layer boots...
Welcome to the Party,
Lots to learn, great teachers.
To add to all other suggestions,
use a center support elastic cord attached to each side of your UQ (or several equally spaced along each side) and over your ridge line, snug it up to reduce...
I'm in too,
Happy Solstice to all.
Black Friday ordered TQ arrived last week (Marty e-mailed date of departure), picked it up the day before last. Looks great, can't wait to use outside.

Welcome from BC Canada.
Just Jeff and Shug provide great answers. For DIY its all money, time, patience and ability with a sewing machine or thread injector.
Field report for last night:
Brought the steroid quilt out for he night, knew it was going to be mild weather low of 42F, but wanted to see how it draped over me.
Coverage was good but not...
TQ ordered, #1388, Thanks.
I agree with LRR and Jason, (some women are not as observant as others), but that is very hard to camouflage. I would choose to go hang outside first. That's why I hang.
Attached entry from Eron should give you plenty of info on sewing your own webbing

I prefer 2" tree straps for the hammock, not rope/cord and for the tarp use the ridge line cord or add a tree strap(s) depending on the tree and location. Enjoy the outdoors and leave it as you found...
Trees are easier, usable to all hammock types randomly found almost everywhere and no need to carry.
Looks bright, put me in.
Good Idea, a useful modification to any hammock stuff sack, not to mention a double ended style. All necessary pieces together.
Next you may try another for the fly and its additional parts.
I have had success using aircraft soft stainless steel lockwire. It comes in numerous diameters,it is flexible (not as flexible copper) and will allow for many amasteel eyes, whoopies and burries...
Rolled up fleece jacket or light fleece blanket, tied to tether from end of hammock. The tether keeps it from migrating low in the back by the middle of the night or ending up on the ground outside...
