I like my WBBB with SuperFly and wouldn't change it for anything out there. Never regretted it even once.

Hey, that is very cool. And here I was joking about putting up the hammock in the bedroom. But why not?
What is a TD Stand?
My blackbird is the best thing I ever slept in. Sometimes I hang it in the back yard just to get a good night's sleep. Maybe I should hang it in the bedroom.
Dagslab. I bet you boys keep the ear muffs handy.
Haha! Yeah, BBO around freezing sounds right. In my mind 50 and above is a no-brainer, and then colder means I need a little more prep so I'll be comfortable.
It's easy down to 50, then it takes a little more gear, like a BBO cover and extra down. Hat, gloves, socks....
Footrub and flowers work great.
If I had known how confortable my Warbonnet Blackbird is, I would never have bought it. My wife tried it, and so I had to get her one. So now we sleep separate when camping. Not sure I'll ever go...
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. Very helpful!
My wife and I each have a WBBB and superfly. I'd like to take a patch kit consisting of some ripstop nylon and some kind of adhesive. What do you recommend?
OK, *that's* good to know. So is the bury just a special case of the locked Brummel?
Hold it.... what am I thinking? I need to test that Superfly anyway!
My Mt. Washington 3 came in today, and it looks great -- light, fluffy, awesome. I'll try it tonight if it doesn't rain. Got another one on the way for my wife!
Ya that's a very neat job, Bluefin. I had tried it earlier with an E string but I broke it pulling the bury. Now I have it tapered, work it gently through, and it works fine. Thanks for prompting me...
Hey that CAT 5 worked like a charm, and the high E too, once I tapered the end of the line. I think the taper was my problem -- now it buries right easy.
I love it. This is very helpful. Looks like I have some work to do.:)
Oh, yeah, that helps. You rock
That's awesome, thanks! I'll get on that tonight!
Hey y'all!
I'm having trouble making the locked brummel with the 1.75mm Dyneema. My problem is getting a splicing tool small enough to pull the bury in the final step.
The last thing I tried...
I'm having a hard time picturing this, because I'm such a noob at this. The ability to adjust this very short is a huge advantage, and I'd really like to understand this better. Do you have any pix...
You guys showed me how to do it, so I shared it with the readers of the SNO blog:

On private property I'd rather ask permission. On public property I'd rather ask forgiveness.
Camping one October in the TN mountains with my wife, kids, and sister, I set up a tent I had never used in a cold torrential downpour... long after dark. It was exciting. Thereafter I determined...
I knew I was going to love this place the first time I heard of a "group hang."
That's clearly a lot smarter than what I was doing. Now I'm stuck in YouTube with a WBBB toga. But hey, it's the risk you take when you stick yourself out there in cyberspace!
Heh, I know what you mean, but depending where I am, the bugout plan might well be all about getting home.
Thanks to the whole forum for helping me in my research. I owed you guys a big shoutout in my article, so here it is. And don't miss the video:

The silver lining is that it might be an indication of warmer winters coming. Longer growing season, and more hanging!
Heh, I'm having fun already!
OK, that's what I need to know, thanks. I'm going to try four or five turns!
I'm using the 1.75 mm Dyneema from Warbonnet Outdoors, and I'm trying to make an adjustable guy line for my tarp by finishing with a prussic. The problem is that it slips on this material. I even...
Thanks Mike. Did you have to seal anything else on the tarp or on the Blackbird?
I'm brand new at this, just received a WBBB Friday, been playing with it since.
Do I understand correctly that the panel pulls have to be waterproofed? Is it a silicone glue or something?
First hang, first impression:
I really dig excellent things. Great design, great literature, a particularly clever movie, a BMW 3-series, exquisite cuisine... all the things that showcase...
Sometimes it seems like the more you have, the more you need (or *think* you need). Speaking for myself, though.
Last week my wife an I were seriously talking about getting rid of a lot of our...
OK, thanks! I was thinking about an adjustable ridge line, but when I saw the build quality of this hammock, I began to doubt whether I'd gain anything by tinkering with Brandon's design.
That sounds like a good plan. I watched Brandon's video again, just to brush up.
Thanks a ton!
The compression sack is just to save space -- I'll still keep the hammock in the double-ended stuff sack and put everything in a compression sack.
The older I get, the more jaded...
It just arrived today, and I'm going to hang it tomorrow, weather permitting. I had a few questions for the old hands around here:
1. Is it OK to stuff the tarp, or better to fold it, like it was...
Recently my well pump went out and my boys and I had to pull the pump from a 120' well with a 1.25" pipe full of water. I'm in pretty good shape for a 44-year-old, but that was... difficult....
I wish this forum had a "thanks" button for all these helpful responses. You guys are a great resource. I hope I can return the favor some day.
If you've got a computer you can watch both shows streaming on Netflix. Bear's show is Man vs. Wild, and Les Stroud has one called Survivorman.
Les does it for real, but readily admits that he has...
Thanks for the reminder. I actually have a couple of these.
I used it to pull a quarter mile of fence posts a couple of years ago. It was sweet.
Man, that is *very* cool. Thanks for the link. I always love to learn a new knot.
Howdy, just wanted to let you know about my latest article. You hangers inspired me to add an article and video to my knot series, so here it is....

Hi from the Volunteer State!
Nice.... I'll watch this!
Man, that all sounds great. Can't wait for it to get here!
I'm going to be in AZ this summer, but when I get back to TN it's gonna be like sleeping in hot soup. Nice to know I have options.
