Hi all,

I used to hang around here a bit but haven't visited in a while.

So two and a half years after it's purchase I still own my Warbonnet Blackbird and I still love it to bits, hanging...

Recumbents and Hammocks, two of my favourite things, match made in heaven!

Sad thing is my cat won't even sleep on my bed so I don't imagine he'd take well to the Hammock. He's not stupid, just scared of everything, even his loving owners of 7+ years!

Sorry for this really noobish question but would a few layers of bubblewrap provide any kind of effective under-insulation in a Hammock? At least in terms of spring/summer camping. Just exploring all...

Ok I have now ordered my Hammock and tarp, I plan to use them out on the trail between trees, however I would also like to use it in my back garden, unfortunately there aren't really any trees in it,...

I want to try using it year-round ultimately, I will obviously try experimenting and see what works. I guess right now I am thinking about the coming spring and summer when I hope to begin Hammocking.

As a follow-up, with regards to the Blackbird, would you recommend using a pad or an underquilt for insulation?

Just seen a vid on Youtube of the Blackbird, looks very good indeed, might be just what I'm after! I'm not very heavy at all, about 140 pounds. Those Tarps look good too.
