Top one in marpat I believe. Just made this zeta up today.
Adding another one. Tried atacs-fg mesh on Multicam zeta fabric. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/28/64e2ab5a0cf33536ed0b6163703533ac.jpg
It's a bit wider. Very comfortable.
I've been playing with different bugnetting. The patterned/camo is interesting to work with. Just like fabric differs in feel so does the mesh. Then I keep coming back to the good old fabric and...
Change in plans. The fabric available is now a light polyester. They aren't doing any other runs of the fabric for a while so I will play with the polyester.
The GZ Tarps are popular. I should have more in as well as the hammock fabric. There was a bit of a mix up at the supplier. Should be in soon.
Have EE, JRB & HG. Sold the HG incubator , kept the HRB UQ's 0 and 20, the EE is an amazing TQ.
Tarp #2 finished and I believe is sold. More fabric coming in I will also have a 10' tarp available in the next set. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/22/ef67e1150601702f0f21e87abab3ff16.jpg
I decided to pick up some of the PU coated material for tarps. What a great pattern.
11' length, 10' wide (hem allowances)
Welcome from Saskatoon
Adding to an old thread :)
Works great :)
In layman's terms. The blood vessels near the skin dilate, blood is pushed from the core to exterior to cool. We also sweat. Cool thing our body.
It's interesting how HH went from using a zipper to using Velcro/bottom entry and then offering both. Just reading the development of his prototypes. Very cool
You bet. Take it along. We just back from a week long trip through. Great places for you to camp.
I have MEC tents 15 years old and the pu coating is mint. I regularly seam seal however I think that proper drying goes a long way

I'll take it. As per conversation. Thanks!
Sounds good. Can you send me a couple of pictures please. I pm'd my address to you
I seal both sides when making the tarps. The other thing is some fabrics have a top and bottom so there may be a technical reason for it as well. With the sil poly one side is a silpu mix and the...
The 20 f incubator will handle it with a uqp. Really cuts airflow stealing your heat. I'm up in Canada and have both a 20 and a 0 degree quilt.
A std 20 degree (prefer dri down)
Jacks R Better MT W 3
Thanks! I'm waiting for the second batch of fabric to arrive. That and I'm taking some time off in the Rockies testing gear ;)...
Looks like it was snagged on something.
Price if you don't want the Multicam pattern.
I agree. I'm using the intruder silnylon and there is little to no stretch. I don't retension my tarp in the rain. It's great stuff.
Water resistant might simply refer to dwr/ calendered.
Bugnet unzips into a stuff sack in the foot end peak
-2 sets of sliders (4)
I am doing a short run of Pencott GreenZone Camo Integrated Hammocks.
They will be set up the same as my Flecktarn Camo Hammocks but a bit narrower.
The camo is as unique...
I had disc surgery
Just over a year ago. Protrusion of 11 mm into my nerve. L5-s1. I find if my back gets bad the hammock helps. But it depends on the back. 11' self made hammocks
To be fair Multicam wasn't a winner in the camoflauge trials. It just had a good
sales team. It came somewhere in between middle and low. Does look nice and
it's been pushed hard for Australia and...
As was posted recently. Kelty down 20 bags on massdrop. 99$ each
Nice find. I've found with their bags their length recommendations are a bit off. I'm 5'9 and I would go for the long.
I have a EE 10 degree TQ and really like it. It seems to be right on the money for stated and actual temp use. Other down quilts I have are a Multicam 20 degree UQ incubator HG and a JRB 0 UQ. The HG...
The stick idea is neat. The Velcro I gave up on. Was making all mine with it so it could slide over quilts etc. The Velcro is hard on the netting, but the main thing is it takes up space. Doesn't...
I think that it's not fitting correctly. 6 oz should get you below freezing. My 3.5 will get me to around 8C.
Check that it's not getting overly compressed by trying to compensate for the usual...
Can we close this thread lol
I wonder about the thread tension. The thickness of the thread you have and the size of the needle. If your using a thicker thread make sure you use a larger needle. Some of the threads out there...
I'm using Dacron planer board line with Tarp Flyz. So far so good
It was fun playing with the HH hammocks and to meet you!
About the ...doubting the manufacturers ratings.. I have a 20 degree from HG that has to be coddled with a UQP to hit the 20 mark. And I've played with it a lot on my different hammocks. I find it's...
I have a JRB mr w 4. I think their adjustment / shock cord setup sucks. I redid mine to allow line loc 3's at the ridgeline attachment / quilt attachments then shock cord with clips to their loops on...
I guess one question is what kind of budget are you wanting to spend? MC sil is expensive. A friend picked up two MC ponchos
From an Ireland eBay store.
Saskatoon. Lots of hangers in Ontario that I've met on Facebook. Another option for great tarps are from Jared at simplylightdesigns.com great stuff and shipping is good too.
#2 works great for partial and full length quilts. I went from making them with side channels to end loops/line loc 3's a while ago. Works fantastic....
After tree planting for 4 years and back woods camping the only Color I avoid is yellow. Wasps investigate and Mosquitos are attracted to it. It's more the wasps that bug be. Animals could care less,...
:) we did some of the grey owl trail this weekend. Got below freezing. My wife is a cooooold sleeper but at least no snow :)
Hey! I'm in Saskatoon SK. Small world :)
I think once you play with the quilt and adjust it a bit better you will handle better temps than that.
We are using CS5 and hitting lower than freezing with them. The CS 6 will do -4C for sure....
Will you ship to Canada for an extra 15$
