Gear hammocks are great...love using them...(under the same tarp)
So...for day time use, whenever needed, when its really hot, one can enjoy
a lite weight,...

From my limited experience, the weaved ones have more stretch..bounce..., so i felt more on a cloud...more weightless body.
It is fun, but for a whole night sleep, i preferred the...

Great info man. thanks a lot.
i/we need a way to fall asleep, while being rocked.
So self rocking, as nice and simple as it is, is not the end game
Thank you friend.
here is another thought -
if you have a row of snaps along the bottom edges of the tarp,
you can have a, say, +8 inch wide, extension strip, to snap it on the wind side,...
It is suggested as having one more (simple to execute) option, in certain situations (as mentioned), as per user preference. (be it raging wind, causing side rain, only dew, etc).
plus...NO EXTRA...
Thank you friend.
i also love the open view (my current tarp is transparent and i love it!!).
my current sock has windows.
also i dont pull it closed if it is not cold, so i have 360 view.

I am sure some of you have already fiddled with this...
How? (suggested rough design)
-Add snaps along the bottom edges of the tarp, every 1.5-2 feet.
-Add a cinch cord on the sides, (with...
Thank you Prof.
....more feedback please.

the loose MSH for any signs of slipping...sliding...flipping...coming undone..

Update
i have tested my idea, and it is not the way i pictured it.
this is the way it works for me:
I lay in.
I slide the feet side up to above my chest.
Then i spread down the head side...

....o.k. , So, with supportive witnessing here, i was able to convince myself that 2 piece is they way to go, for me.
Now, how do we improve on the air/bug tightness,...
The more i think about it, the more clear it becomes to me, that the 2P is much more user friendly, mainly because of the ease,
with which you can shift between open sky, and closed hood, mods.
...
Another plus for the 2P, is that in the morning, when you wake up, no need to get up, to get a "360" view of nature around. (if the tarp is not in the way) and that's huge! Peak moment of...
Thanks.
