Oh, I really needed that today. On a side note. Does anyone know where I can find a smile with milk shooting out the nose?

I know it's a stretch, but couldn't you use 2-120" zippers. Have them zip towards each other in the middle. I know it gives you a weight hit, and an extra step, but you could get in the...
Thats the way I take it. Cold sleepers get cold doring the night. Warm sleepers feel hot. If using the same rated gear in the same temp.
Of corse I could be wrong. Will have to do more reserch...
I'll be going if I can get out of work.
Welcome from Frederick, MD. You should definitely consider the fall MAHHA. The spring hang was a great time.
I placed an order last week. Got the discount, and my amsteel showed up saturday. I'm verry happy.
Welcome. And....um wow Hawk-eye.
True that. I spend so much time missing sleep at home trying to sleep better in the woods.
Are you the group I saw getting off at RT-40 yesterday afternoon?
I'm with HB. Donating is the way to go, but the people here are going to respond to you based on how you treat others. Not on how many posts you have. I say less time posting, is more time hiking....
Although I too still look the same, I do feel Buff in my new Buff.
If i remember correctly the best place to find snipes is the inside of someone else's hammock.
On a side note.
Dutch,
Did I hear you mention at the hang that you were looking for a new...
I would think YES on all counts.
Thanks to everyone who put this together.
Welcome. I'm new to all this, and the people here have been very helpful. They just had the Spring MAHHA not to far from you (I learned a lot there). You should come out for the Fall hang.
This hang was a great intro into hammock camping for me. Thank you all for sharing your experience, expertise, food, and prizes (I will cherish the TP I won.) I look forward to seeing you all...
well im under 200 but short, and flexible not so much. I think I remember were the tent is. Better yet I found a hammock and a walmart tarp. now were is that rope.
I would be more than willing to keep someones lonley gear company. As my other options are to dig out my tent, or get a little creative with the junk i have around the appartment.
I have seen a picture somewere of making two tripods with a crossbar connection to top of one to the top of the other.

hmm where to start. Well since I'll be doing more solo camping I'll leave the huba huba at home, and get a hammock and tarp. theres a good 2.5+lb savings. gunna try out cooking with an alchol...
If you are hopping to have a positive influence on people making police I would avoid bad practices that cause damage. Instead concentrate on how doing it right protects the environment. No need to...
Sounds good. I was planning on doing that anyway.
Does anyone have a hammock they would be willing to lend me for the weekend. I'm 6'1" 175lb. I would buy one before hand, but I feel weird about buying something I haven't seen. Or at least have...
gotta respect the kilt.
well then you can count me in.
Thank you all for the warm welcomes.
Is there room at this hang for a tent camper looking to make a change? I can also give people rides to and from air ports, and what not if needed. I don't live that far from the park.
In the beginning god created the Heavens, and the Earth. This has been widely accepted as a good thing. The problem, however, since about day 7 is that man has spent his nights on the ground. ...
