Conversion Kits have been added to the site for those who already own a stand. http://www.tatogear.com/product-category/hammock-stand/
There is only one set of the cross bar hardware and one set of tripod hinges. The conduit kit will be that comes with the 2x2 stand are the connectors only that can be changed out for the square pcs...
They are showing in stock now.
The long awaited hammock stand kits are back in production and available for pre order. We have added the option of metal conduit poles for legs instead of 2x2 lumber. ...
These are only on hold for a bit. Outdoor gear is only a portion of my business, the other being we are a general machine shop for other industrial businesses. Our machining business has exploded in...
I have made an option for purchasing just the hooks and toggles on the site now. Thanks
I use my ridge runner with the foot a few inches higher and 7ft legs should be fine.
I don't know that as conduit isn't rated for load.
It sounds like you decreased the angle of hang. This multiplies the load across the top rail. Check out the load calculator on my site. It's the same as the load on trees. The tighter you pull the...
Those are really small. Standard 2x2's should measure 1.5
I am working on an option for using conduit as legs. Sorta like the extention plug but on end as the hinge.
Loose is great. Just tighten the thumb screw down snug into the wood and your all set. It's interesting to hear just how much variation there is in the lumber.
How many others have had to use the sandpaper? This is the first report of I seen of anyone using it.
We are currently out of stock. I am trying to get ahead and away from preorders. I will keep everyone up to date as stock comes back up.
The march delivery orders are in with these. They will all ship next week.
More ready to gohttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/06/1ae7b1f98345fca488ab5a5bf8467e8b.jpg
Some have. Those that shipped should have got a confirmation. More will go out tomorrow.... hopefully the rest of them. All are together and being shipped as we package them. My wife keeps asking how...
This could possibly work. You may have to use an additional short continuous loop with a biner on the stand with the double. I may try this over the weekend if I get a chance.
We have rated our hardware at 500lbs. The stand itself will be dependent on the quality of materials that you use, length of legs and top rail and how many sections you cut your top rail into. The...
Absolutely. We are going to offer all parts as separate items for anyone wanting to build some or all from our kit. these may be available next week once we have caught up on our current orders.
Yes, they gave me a call later yesterday and we were able to make a quick run up and grab them before they closed for the day. We are hard at work engraving and assembling. Lot of work ahead of us.
I would recommend that.
I don't know how that would play into the dynamics of the loads across the top rail.
I've spotted a few on facebook
The video showed an early prototype. After further testing it was determined that the tubes didn't need to be as long as they were and only one screw was needed to hold it in as all the pressure is...
I agree, I have a small 5 gallon anodizing setup and hate doing it. To much bad stuff for me.
Sounds like me. I would have opted for a new miter saw though.
And it's the only process I have no control over..... maybe I need to install some anodizing tanks :-)
Just spoke with the anodizers and they are telling me Wednesday. I was supposed to have these back last Wednesday. This puts us about a week behind. We will work day and night once these make it...
I hang my ridge runner from mine. You need at least a 13 ft top rail.
Yes, Wife found that stack today and started shipping. Again, I apologize. ALL will be out in the morning.
OK guys, have to give a big apology. We have a stack of paperwork that was filed in the folder beside the Kickstart folder. Still a few plugs to go out. These will ship in the morning.
Everyone should have got theirs by now. Let me check with the wife and make sure none were overlooked.
I am still waiting for parts to return from the anodizers..... we are now pushing time to stay on schedule. I have a call in to them but they haven't responded as to when I can pick them up. Once I...
Another 15 were listed today for a March shipment and can be pre-ordered as the February units are complete and at the anodized and will be shipping by the end of next week.
Third run is already in operation.
If you ordered a second run from our website, there is a date posted of Feb. 2 for shipping. These may go out a few days sooner than that though.
For those who didn't get the KickStarter email that cam out today to address the extension plug here it is.
As we developed this kit it went through many prototypes and unfortunately we have found...
You can hang it under and it shouldn't effect the hang angle enough to matter as the continuous loops are really short.
I will post a pic of proper setup tomorrow.
Something sounds a miss. I would certainly like to see a pic of that. I haven't seen that before and all feedback so far has been great. I'm 270 lbs and using a 13 ft top pole
I suppose you could cut them in half then hinge them like an attic ladder on the inside. Don't know how strong it be.
I have never tied one together but I'm assuming on a hard, slick floor it would add stress to the legs about half way up. It would be just a precaution. A small square of rubber on the bottom of the...
I agree with this. This should work just fine.
Yes, it's the mini. Some of the pics that were taken were with the prototype before the biners were made.
The legs are at 20 degrees and the hammock will attach at about 4-6 inches from the top. I have my legs cut at 6 feet. This seems to be a good number for me as it works great for my tarp and doesn't...
The hardware weight is 3.5 pounds. The total setup weight will be dependent on leg and top rail lengths.
These have been going fast. Thanks for all the support from you guys. We have just a few left.
You are right. The top rail should be sized to your preference. Your local home improvement store will cut this for you. I have mine at 13 feet, 2 sections. This has worked for all of my hammocks....
