I have the GTSBP and started with a Tyvek Tarp. But was to big and heavy in the backpack. Now using Mamba Jamba tarp. Great coverage and easy to set up.

Buddy of mine got me into hiking and after the 3rd hike I realized 40+lbs. was stupid. Got home and looked up Light Weight Hiking. Already had the SBPro, but, nothing else really light. Not that the...
During early spring and Fall I make use of my 30* Sierra Design Ridgerunner Down Sleeping bag and 20* UQ. When it warms up I use the Camo Quilted on top and still the UQ but looser to let the warm...
Very similar to the REI Half Dome 2 Tent poles I use. Though mine goes from corner to corner and works great for porch mode. There is a video on You Tube of it. Paid $40 for the poles. A bit longer...
I have the SBPro and use the Warbonnet Mambajamba and works out great. Also use the REI Half Dome Tent poles for my pole mod. Makes for a lot more space inside.

For us, we let the USPS know we have guard dogs and to leave a notice in the mail box to pick up parcel at the Post Office. Not that our dogs are vicious at all, but, after a package stolen, this was...
I found a parachute today, good to be a Garbageman. There is a full size parachute and what looks like a Hanglider chute in the pack. Coming to you guys and gals for ideas for hammocks or tarps ideas...
I make use of the SMC Rings and Continuous Loop on the hammock and the MSH. Ring on the knot. Adjusting if needed is very easy.

I don't have a pic, but, the one supplied will work. Though I use the webbing with a Marlin Spike Hitch and put the ring on the knot. How the Ring is attached to the hammock is the same.

That is what I use anymore now. Have 1 SMC Decender Ring on each end of the hammock. An Amsteel Continuous Loop through each channel larksheaded to the SMC's and use the webbing Marlin Spikehitched...

I have the SBPro and really enjoy it, though I havn't put in the ridgeline mod. I do hang a Tarp Ridgeline with or without the tarp and use shock cords and prussick loops to keep the net raised off...
I have been using a Continuous Loop through the hammock channel larksheaded to a single SMC Ring and the Marlin Spike Hitch. No slippage at all and easy to dial in also.

Had the same problem with the Coghlin's bending. Now use Landscaping Anchor Pins. Cut off 1 side then bend the short side to make a hook. Strong and a box of these are not that expensive, 50 of them...
I am doing without the compression bag. Putting my UQ inside of my Down sleeping bag and putting those in a Compactor bag in side of the pack. Clothing will go into the Compactor Bag also. Then pack...

I have the GTSBPro and I think I am going to make use of my tarp ridgeline and a couple of long prussicks from that to the tabs of the Skeeter. I can adjust the hammock close enough without the...

A Co-Worker last winter suggested I join him for a a hiking weekend in late Spring. Gave me plenty of time to research what I needed to get outfitted. I already had a 2-man North Face tent, 7lbs,...
I make use of the down Booty Slippers I got at Goodwill for $4. Very toasty and weigh hardly anything. REI has them for about $20, but, about half the size of mine.

I carry the yellow 15' Harbor Freight straps. Better to much than to little and I can save an ounce or 2 someplace else to keep off the ground.
I ordered on Black Friday a Gossamer Gear G4 pack, my Wife not really happy about it. Gave her a website for a 30* Leighlo Underquilt. And with my Christmas tips I hope to buy a topquilt.
This last...
I also have the SBPro and use the poncho liner UQ and a 1/8" CCFpad and Permathrin. 4 days in The Mountain Lakes Wilderness in So. Oregon and no bites. Covered in a cloud of skeeters though they...

Went on a little 3 Mile hike for an overnighter just over the Oregon-Cali border past Applegate Lake with my buddy from work May 4th. Almost dark by the time we got to our destination and lucky to...
Couldn't one make the same with the Tyvek Tape if you already have the triangle loops. I have some Tyvek on its way and was thinking of using the tape around the tri-loop to adhere it all together....
I recently found a large roll of Reflexit and a 3'x4'x1/8" CCF pad. Thoughts on gluing or joining the 2 together? Also have enough of the Reflexit to make use to go between a PLUQ and bottom of...
