There is some water but it will be in small stagnate pools filter a must, it's only going to get to about 50* so i'm usually good with a pad and good sleeping bag, I haven't seen any thing on fire...

I hiked all the good trails on the west side of GOG Monday and all the water is dried up but for some stagnant spots and the temperature is going to be hot and really humid. Might be better to try in...

I have a claytor and love the way I can use it as both. Just a little heavier than some hammocks.
Went back and got the sunshade for the 12x12 gazibo. Here is he DIY hammock with the 12'x12' sunshade ( the shade is 12'x6') the whole system cost about $50.

right handed people tend to want the zipper on the left so hey can reach over their body and use the zipper, where as on your right side it is harder to reach over your head and you twist your body...

The electric socks work well (just for sleeping in though), and not much weight added to the pack.

I have never used a pad, don't need one with the hammock and if i half to move to the ground i will pile leaves or grass...etc. like animals do. watch even the animals know to nest when sleeping....
The only thing i do not like about hammocks is that in the winter thy are cold so i just use the fly so i can sleep on the ground right next to the fire and i do not half to take all the extra like...
