Palomar Mtn State Park is beautiful this time of year. Mt. Laguna campground also fun. Anza-Borrego State Park is a great choice if you like the desert.
I'm full time, outside hanger, so at home I have a small table next to my head and a flap on the bug net to slip the hose through. On the trail I do without.
I have been full time for almost three years. My first thought is, do you really want that beautiful (but large) piece of furniture in your chosen room full time? Has attaching from the walls been...
Very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately this begs the question, do hammocks cross the rainbow bridge?
A simple solution I first used as a full time hanger was a fleece "hammock" underneath my sleeping hammock. I guess you could also call it a full length uq. At the time it seemed much simpler to make...
Welcome and greetings from San Diego! Let me know if your interested in hanging around south SoCal.
Well done! The ingenuity displayed on this forum never ceases to amaze. I just finished a Costco UQ and I will definitely be adding a lev mod. I will be on this like white on rice, the lev mod...
That looks very fun! Welcome to the forums. How do you monitor air quality? The closest I've come to something like is an abandoned train tunnel in the middle of the desert.141440
Rolled hems with thin, slippery fabric can be frustrating. What I have done is, fold over once, hem and then fold over a second time and hem again. Yes this results in twice the "hemming" but for...
I've been full time (outside) for 2+ years. I use a u-shaped neck pillow/travel pillow, the type filled with beads not foam. I find the foam too bulky and it gives me a stiff neck. When I'm on trail...
Not my hammock, but I have decorated my tarp with a Walking Dead theme.

Remember to bring your straps! (yes this is a lesson I learned the hard way)
Ive been sleeping full time in a hammock for two years. I use one of those horseshoe shaped neck pillows filled with small beads. The ones made of memory foam are too bulky. Good luck!
Hey, that's the coolest cooler I've ever seen!
I have been out of a bed and into a hammock since June 2014. My back pain has been reduced by 90% and I get much more restful sleep. Of course that was after my wife threw me out... but I'm all about...
I don't need a new one either, but I'm thinking I need the practice!
I put mine on a chair next to my head. I have a bug net and it looks pretty comical with the hose attached to my hammock :) When I'm without power I use a neoprene strap that goes around my head.
Will there there be color choices?
Responding to the 1/8th Amsteel comment, me too! I find it relatively cheap (weightwise) peace of mind..
Yellow is the new black... Excellent job Hangs. I just finished a new two tone tarp I will be posting in a day or so.
Holtgzy and significant other will be there with bells on. Friday and Saturday and if the stars align, Thursday also.
