Thanks!
I got a bit of a late start this morning, I was out late with the girl at an awards banquet. If y'all end up starting off, Ill just catch up. Any idea of the time y'all will hit the trail?
Sounds like a plan!
For one of the mornings Im planning on bringing lightweight pancake mix in a bottle. Each bottle makes about 8 pancakes (much more than I can eat). If a few people would like to enjoy the hotcakes...
Would anyone coming from Lexington like to carpool? I plan on being there at 9am Friday. If that would work for you PM me.
Fantastic post. This has eased so many frustrations for me. Thanks!
For those of us coming in early, should we be at the Suspension Bridge lot by 9 or waiting at the trailhead by 9? Sorry I was a little unclear on that
I plan on being there at that time too. Im not familiar with the trail and would like to hike with someone just incase I cant follow directions ha
Any definitive on a group meal yet? Im already hungry just thinking about the options thrown out there!
Thanks for the tips. Ill most likely try the shock cord set up.
I would be in for a group meal. I just got work cleared for that weekend so Im officially in!
Very excited.

I live about 45 min away from the Gorge and have been eying Indian Staircase all winter! I would love to go if it works out, especially to 'hang' with fellow hangers.
I live in Lexington KY and go backpacking and bouldering all around the Kentucky area. I love the distinct look of the Kentucky area outdoors, your pictures really captured it well.
Im absolutely going to try this one out and a few of the other ideas. Thanks y'all!
Thanks I will try all of that. I had thick merino wool hunting socks on dry clean feet that I use only for sleeping as I hike in hurraches. My sleeping bag probably isnt rated for much lower than 35,...
So.. I searched around and couldn't find any thread addressing this. Maybe there is one deep in the annals of the site, but I couldn't find it. I just got back today from a backpacking/ bouldering...
Found this on another site. I keep turning up empty, but thanks all for the great ideas!
"My main concern with a silicon coating would be whether it prevents the dye from reaching the nylon,...
"krylon fusion contains methylene chloride, which bonds directly to certain plastics that are solvent bondable. If the material is nylon then the fusion doesn't work, if the material is previously...
Good thoughts, I may look into those paints. And Ill let you know for sure, the idea is definitely up for grabs!
Thanks for the quick responses. Ill keep on searching! And thanks for the post Shug, your videos helped me out a ton to get my rig up and running.
Alright. The title may sound a little ridiculous but I wanted to get some feedback on my idea. I would like to use a stencil (White Tree of Gondor :) ) and use spray paint to mark both sides of the...
