I would sure like to take you up on that sometime. Let me know when you are
Planning a night out. Mule
Wonderful photos, Chris, Thanks
Your flute playing was beautiful. The sound fits in the woods better than any other instrument, and you fit the flute the way the flute fits the wilderness. Keep up the gift.
LOL You really glean the information. LOL

Thanks everyone who came as well as all those who wanted to come. We had a moist time and lots of fun and great discussions. HamMike did a great job on his report, so I will just post some photos....
Again, if the parking lot is full park on ONE side of the road.
Where's the last list of those coming? Anyone know?
I am sorry you are not coming too. I was looking forward to getting to know you better, Otter. Mule
I agree. Out west or down south you have some trails that will be difficult, and animals that can cause some trouble and some climbing that adds danger to the hike, but here, no large animals, trails...
Sorry to miss you, perhaps next year.
There's not supposed to be RTVs in there. Bicycles only. I hope that's what it was.
BonsiaHiker's maps are right on it looks like to me. So you won't have to climb the hill again on Combs Road to get to Brown Hollow. Cool
I put this together last year. Some of you may be interested in seeing the whole picture.
We have been on so many treks together, so I will miss you being there, old friend. But when I go to the Hoosier National Forest, I recognize that many of the places that now are in my mind I would...
When we headed for the hill last year you may all remember the intersection of Combs Road (bench mark 815 too) where we crossed the road and continued up a small hill on the right side of the road....
I am leaving at 5AM to make the drive around Indy easier, so I will get to the North Trailhead about 9AM with a long stop for breakfast in there somewhere.
So sorry to hear this. Take good care of your wife.
You can also park on Elkinsville road if the north lot is full BUT only park on one side of the road. IF you see cars on one side, park on that side only too. The sheriff says as long as we do that...
No. I have not marked the trail,
IF you memorize these rules you will get there:
1. The trail is clear to the turnoff. You will pass two trees with red circles around them on the right. 4th photo,...
Ham mike, What do you mean, furlowed? That used to mean on leave for us Marines. I hope you can make it to the hang.
If it was me I'd bring it.
Man, I was looking forward to seeing you, Chris. I WOULD like to make it down there. You are a great guy to hang with. See you soon I hope. Steve
For those with strong hearts.

Yes, and there is water down there.
YES. It is about an hours hike, maybe more from Browning Hill. We could day hike to it.
See the new thread for MUGSHOTS for those attending the HH this year and put your name, trail name and mugshot in for all of us to enjoy. Thanks...
What is it you are asking??? Mule
I may be going down early afternoon. Not 100% sure yet.
OK, That's what I heard. It is a nice campsite. I have camped there four or five times. See you there if I come on Thursday. Mule
Sorry to ask this question again but..... WHERE are you camping on Thursday Night? I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Thanks.
I for one will miss seeing you StaPuff. Wish you could make it.
I don't think it is set up this year, is it????? I don't think it will be necessary anyway. it's ok to park along the road if the lot is full AS LONG as everyone parks on ONE SIDE of the road only,...
OK, Since I saw your gear list I know who you are now, doc. I am smiling here thinking of you and will be very happy to see you. I just recently got myself a cuben tarp myself and think of you every...
I had to quit the KT before the day was done. My old problem with my muscles since chemo a few years back is not better. I could not descend the hills without quite violent tremors in my legs. I am...

Salamander and Jerry, I am free to meet you guys whenever. Got my new tarp and ready to go. Could you give me some information about where we are going, where to park, etc.? Thanks
Salamander42. Thanks, I'll be looking for it.
I was planning on a trip this weekend. Let's make it happen.
Hey Rug, For everyone who you heard complain there were about ten times that many who really appreciated it. Me for one. It was just good havin you there, dude.
I apologize for bringing on the confusion. I also thought the same, Jerry, but if you remember, as I finally did, that we all pay money for the tickets. It's a fund raiser type thing. The things we...
Oh, you are so wise, gargoyle. Well said.
It sounds like you all know it's all good the way it is. Then I am good with it too.
What i mean by my misgivings is some may bring something that's entirely appropriate, but others may bring items that are way more expensive. I know when my family used to have gift exchanges they...
Whew!!!!!!
One thing that bothers me about the hang is the exchange. Does anyone else have misgivings about it? Seems like the rules are not tight enough on what to bring. As I see all the guys ?
