Sunshower is feeling under the weather so we will not make it this year. Have fun everyone.
I just want to comment that the double whoopie hooks work great to hang two hammocks from the same two trees. My wife and I used that as our setup at the fall MAHHA with great results.
Unfortunate change of plans, Sunshower and I won't be making this hang :( We def want to get together at the next local one though. Have fun guys.
Sunshower and I will be kayaking over near Lincoln and should show up around 5-6ish on Saturday, depending on how our day goes. Hope to see you all then.
Just curious how far of a walk it is from the car to the site. Trying to determine if bringing a 5 gallon water container would be worth it as well.
I just wanted to compliment Jacks on their great customer service. In short, I had purchased a hammock from them and after the first time using it, noticed some tears in the bug netting. I contacted...
I have a dangerbird and ridge runner. The HG Incubator fits better on the ridge runner than it does on the dangerbird to be honest.

Used twice, I am selling the JRB bridge hammock. It is in perfect condition and comes with the bag to store the spreader bars in. I will also throw in some whoopie slings as an alternative to the...
That is good advice about having a smooth edge against the amsteel rather than hard, square edge. Also, I love how you have the whoopie slings pulled through and connected in the middle of your...
The weather was great, the food was amazing, and the company was second to none. I had a great time and am looking forward to the next outing.
I'm in :-)

Is this Harrold Parker?
If you have husky in your dog, take Fronkey's advice and teach the traditional mushing voice commands of Gee for right and Haw for left. You never know what types of fun you will get into beyond...
We take our two Siberian Huskies wherever we go and have them tied to two trees near where our hammocks are hanging from. We have a special tie out made for them where they are both attached to the...
Welcome from Danvers, Ma.
Just a thought... EMS has their top of the line waterproof down jacket on clearance for $119.98. It is very very warm and packs down into the included stuff sack. It is not ultralight by any means...
It really was a beautiful place to be. Whether hanging, tenting, or staying in the shelter this place is somewhere anyone in the NH area should get to. I was surprised to have the entire area to...
Full length 0 degree. Would rather have more than enough insulation to prevent the worst case scenario of CBS...
Pics or it didn't happen... ;-)
I actually picked up a DIY Bushbuddy in the pay it forward thread. Thanks for the advice and links.
Straight up Les Stroud skills making that video. Enjoyed watching it and great choice in music!
I am wanting to buy a wood gas or rocket style twig stove. I like the design of the bush buddy or solo stove. If anyone has a used one or even a DIY model they are looking to sell, let me know.
Sorry to disappoint but family comes first... Not a big deal but you should understand that. There are other things in life besides hammocks
Sunshower and I are not going to be able to make this hangout :-( My sister gave birth to the newest member of our family so we will be spending the weekend helping out with babysitting etc. Sorry...
I'll be there. Sunshower and I will be heading up early Saturday. It's about a 2 hour drive for us. It's a nice spot with a plenty of trees and a river right there for water. Plus there are fire...
We live in Danvers which is around 3.5 hours from Greylock. We will try to leave here before 5 am to get there and up to the site at around 10am.
I was hoping my incubator would have arrived yesterday but it will today. I am going to wait to head out until receiving it. So sunshower and I will be arriving tomorrow morning instead of this...
Sunshower and I are heading out tomorrow with our two dogs. We will probably get to the Birch group site at around dinner time. We will have our blackbirds and superflys. Looking forward to meeting...
Great videos Fronkey. Tala is one lucky girl to have an owner that is capable of meeting her physical needs as well as her emotional needs. Be careful... First it's canicross, then bikejoring, then...
Underquilts are expensive and that is a major drawback for those getting into hammocking. It makes sense to use gear you already have like pads and sleeping bags. I have three pads of various sizes...
When I am up in the whites and am not sure of the tree situation, I bring an aircore inflatable pad that has insulation. That way if I have to go to the ground, I can use he pad in my blackbird and...
I have a crl under my superfly. It works well for me.
Welcome from Mass
Great video comparing the Yeti to the Phoenix.
My wife and I did a lot of backpacking with our two Siberian Huskies. We have recently begun enjoying camping in our hammocks (Blackbirds and Superflies). We have camped with our dogs in a winter...
looks like a nice quilt, can't wait to read a review.
That is one sweet looking setup. I would love to have a porch like that to setup all that nice looking gear on.
Dejoha- just picked up the book on itunes... will be a great resource to have with my ipad on hangs. It looks great so far, thanks for putting all that great info into one place. I also like the...
Wow, good thing you were all right in all of this!
I agree with what has already been stated: not worth risking damaging expensive gear, and a safety issue if currently or future planning on hiking in bear country.
Perhaps profit was not the correct term. Many items if you lose $10 on what you make from the sale, it is almost not worth selling. And thanks for all the feedback.
I am just curious what cost effective shipping options most of you use to sell items in this forum. Priority shipping costs around $10 and really makes it difficult to make a price that is appealing...
