Who posted the "I'll take it"?
Hmmm, good question. I've been to SPAC many times but never seen anyone hang a hammock. It's been a couple years since I was there, but I'm having a hard time picturing where you even would hang one...
Glad you are getting back out there! Heading back to the LT myself in August for a "few weeks" :)
Interesting concept, would like to see one in person sometime. Good innovation :)
Really wanted to make this hang but my son has Lacrosse games all weekend, 2 of them up in Lake Placid tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good time!!
Man I need to make it down to a MAHHA sometime, looks like a blast. Great photos everyone :)
Wife and I are thinking about doing an overnighter, weather looks perfect :)
Perfect, thanks TallPaul! I ended up finding it last night but you beat me to it! :)
Hmmm, I just looked myself and couldn't find it...i'll dig a little more. I honestly haven't looked at this feature since we upgraded the software here. I do remember that option in the old software,...
Ready by this August? I'd like some for a trip I'm doing ;)
After consideration, the MOD/Admin team has determined that a feedback forum for the Market Place area is not needed on Hammock Forums. This determination was made for a number of reasons.
Really hoping to make this hang.
If you want to request to have your username changed on Hammock Forums, you need to private message an Administrator. The list of Administrators (and Moderators) can be found HERE.
If you can...
Lets keep it civil please.
Definitely keep it vented. I really liked mine for cutting down on wind, but I learned after the first night that is you don't vent it, you will get a lot of condensation.
Brandon is an awesome guy for sure, and truly was THE innovator back in the early days of hammock camping. His designs were groundbreaking.
I do hope to get a chance to "hang" with Brandon at some...
Vermont is my absolute favorite place to hike, there are great trails all over the place. Not even including my favorite one, the Long Trail! :)
I think I have a couple of the old ones kicking around at home, I'll check later for you.
Hahaha, this made me chuckle for sure :)
Per forum rules, there should be an "I'll take it" posted to claim the item.
Very cool man, glad you are enjoying the trail so much! I just started sorting gear and getting my food list together last night for my upcoming End-to-End Next month, getting psyched :)
No idea how many I have now, but there is a stack of them :)
Yep, that's the plan. It depends on how many mountain bike vacations I decide to take this summer though, which I have taken two already and the summer isn't even here yet lol
I know exactly what you mean. The Long Trail holds a special place in my heart, I have spent a lot of time on it. Actually planning a SOBO Starting in late August :)
Caught this video on Facebook the other day, looks like you are having a fun trip. I was on the summit of Stratton the same day you were, though I was working at the ski resort :)
Enjoy the rest...
Well, more than just your backside is going to cool off this way. Can't hurt to try though, right?
Looks good Rock, nice to see you around :)
The only SL hammocks I own I use for lounging in the backyard or by the river on a canoe day. If I'm backpacking, it's always with a double layer. Just have to use what you think is best for your...
I bought one for my machine and tried it for a bit, made more work than it was worth. Got pretty good doing it by hand so I stuck with that :)
I'm tentatively in, haven't been able to make a hang in awhile. Would be great to see everyone again.
I'm sorry that you don't agree with the current set up, but we feel it works and it will remain. The Marketplace rules have been tweaked over time to what works best all around. That doesn't always...
At the bottom of the "Forums" page there is a link that says "View Site Leaders". You can click on one of us that you want to contact from there.
Indeed, my lines are pretty sweet :)
Dude, did you put these up like 5 minutes after I did my order today?? I need these!! Great work!!
Glad you guys are enjoying the site :)
Welcome. I'm not far from Saratoga Springs, I actually mountain bike there a lot. Most of my hiking is in the Green Mountains of Vermont, though. The ADK's get a bit too crowded for me.
While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, those are the rules and always have been. These would not be considered surplus, unwanted gear.
Lets keep this thread on topic, please.
I remember reading this 5 years ago. Thanks for the memories!
Best trail out there, and VT air is second to none! The breweries are world class as well!
Nice, where in VT?
Why a single layer? For hammock camping/backpacking, my preference is to have Double Layer hammock to supplement a pad if needed in colder weather. The only single layer hammocks I own are used for...
If it aint Dutch, it aint much :)

This is the underquilt I use, and I'm also 6'-5" tall. Adam made mine a touch longer though, just can't remember exactly how much longer.

Here is a good one:
I know Ken's father-in-law and e-mailed with Ken years ago about his hike. Really nice guy and...
I was planning an intro thread for him once he was ready, but I guess this will work for now.
We are very happy that OutandBack joined our team, and he has been a great addition thus far :)
